furniture piece stuck in floor and fan disappeared when i placed it?

I have ahelmet that I placed on a table but somehow it ended up in the floor with only a little sticking out. Itried to get it with my plcement tool but it will not highlight it. I also tried to place a fan on a table and it completely disappeared. How do I get these items back?

You can browse furnishing placed into a home and see the item name and distance from you. Via that list you can remove items and place them in your inventory to then place again.

You need to go to the 'retrieval' tab and find the items from there.
