What' illogical about accepting that life isn't always perfect and whining about it constantly isn't going to make a difference?

Play or don't play. You don't like it and don't think it's being fixed fast enough for you, don't play.

You get what you paid for. If you can do better, then do.

I just can't accept the premise that, to satisfy the demands of a VERY LOUD statistical few, the rest of us cannot play the game.

    Talk about selfish.

Mainly because I enjoy listening to people complain constantly (I have children). These are just the same complaints that I've been seeing since I joined way back in 2015. Not everyone experiences them and, most importantly, Beth doesn't care. The game is working just fine for the vast majority of players (you know, those players who don't spend 90% of their life playing it).
While I'll admit that there are FPS drops and freeze issue, and PvP has been an issue from the very beginning, there simply has to be more to talk about than this. There just has to be!
Things will get better, or they won't. Beth is listening and doing what they can, but, obviously it is not happening as easily as y'all seem to think it should be.
The very title of this thread just pisses me off! Why should the rest of us suffer because this vocal set of people constantly has to find fault and can never, ever be inconvenienced (in a video game, no less - god forbid the bus is running late or your check is a day late - oh God, imagine the tantrum!).
Sure - go ahead take down the consoles for a week to fix problems that 90% of the actual players of the game will never, ever suffer from.
It's less than a month after the release of a new Chapter, for goodness sake. This ALWAYS happens with new releases.
Should Zeni upgrade their servers or have more servers as, apparently there are just too many active players all at once for their servers to handle, sure, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Could the players adjust and not ALL play at the same time (hey, I play on the EU when it's dead hour mornings over there) and experience very few issues.
But no, this group would prefer to simply remove the game from the vast majority of console players so that they can have their little PvP matches run smoothly and never have any issues when the decide they just want to gank somebody or ruin somebody's day.
Enough already. Beth is doing what it can. The game is huge for goodness sake. Not everybody is going to be happy.
So there's a few hiccups. So what? It's like that stupid phrase "Game Breaking". It's "Game Breaking" for you. Nobody else cares.
As to why I keep coming back? BECAUSE I CAN'T GET AWAY FROM IT! Y'all just keep creating more and more and more threads covering the same thing. Day after day after day; week after week after week; month after month after month; year after year after year! When are you going to get it? It is not going to be fixed. Beth has fixed everything it can and will continue to try to fix it more.
Don't expect perfection or you will be sorely disappointed.
I, for one, am thrilled that I can play this game. I, for one, could care less if I freeze every once in a while or have an FPS drop or, God forbid, there's a glitch that causes my death.
It's a friggin' video game and a pretty Great one at that.
I've played enough MMO's to know that this isn't unique to this game.
And no. I will not cancel my subscription. I like the game. I am more than satisfied with what I'm getting and, while there are issues, they're not "Game Breaking" for me.
It is my opinion and nothing more. If you don't like it and want to go off on some tirade, again, go for it.
    I don't care.

    To address your specific complaint?
    1) performance is an issue for any game. ANY GAME. They get solved, eventually or they don't.
    2) So what? You paid money. Who cares. Buyer beware. If you don't like it, don't play. 90% of us can play as advertised and put up with a few issues, why can't you? You didn't pay for the EXACT game and performance YOU want. You paid for ESO.
    3) I understand perfectly well the issues and, yes, as I said, I have even experienced some of them, but, you know what? it's always the same people complaining about the same issues. Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe you might have something to do with them?

You know, it's funny how it's usually the "ultra competitive" "meta" players that start these threads and keep them going. it's funny how these are the same people that tell you you're stupid and inept and tell you to L2P if you're a newer player that needs some help too.

I understand that this is an MMO. It's all about maximization. I get that. But the majority of us don't play that way. Considering that there are multi-millions of registered and active users and 10's of thousands of players on at any given time, we few on the forums don't really qualify as the end all and be all of players.

If it was as bad as you describe then their active player numbers would drop. Funny that. It's not happening.
    DenMoria wrote: »
Better yet, just stop playing the game completely and/or purchasing anything from their shop. A significant drop in player population would say a whole lot more than a bunch of people playing but not paying.

On the plus side, at least, if that happened, things would be a lot more civil on the forums and those of us who couldn't care less might be able to play the game without being told that we're losers for not being Meta.

You don’t care? Fine. But why are you even in this thread then? This is specifically talking about performance issues affecting console players. If you’re so lucky to not have been affected by these issues then why dont you do as you say and play the game?

This is nothing to do with being meta but about people who have paid good money with the expectations of being able to play a game as it is advertised. No one here expects a miracle and for all the issues to completely disappear, we just want a stable enough game that we can play and enjoy.

Not looking to be confrontational but considering how much attention this thread has received it appears that it is a larger issue than you seem to understand.

    Good day.

You need a hug or something? That's some of the most bizarre, illogical nonsense I've ever read.

There's a big difference between whining and being vocal about a major issue that IS game-breaking for a large number of people. You keep saying the majority aren't having any issues...do you have any proof of that? I seriously doubt it.

If we aren't vocal about an issue as big as this, ZoS just gets to keep plodding along acting like everything is fine while pumping out more and more DLC and crown crates.

If you aren't having issues, kindly stay out of this thread because it shouldn't affect you either way what we talk about in here.

He’s just trolling. You’re wasting your time arguing with someone who has no problems with the game but just happens to be on the forums making passive aggressive comments. Save yourself the effort and stop giving him the attention he can’t get anywhere else.

You do realize that not everyone can join the forums easily? I have many friends who don't want to go through the hassle of having a support ticket made so they can have an account created. Its a great move by ZoS to keep as much criticism at bay as they can tbh. Its quite possible that every poster here represents 100 or 1000 other players who are having horrible performance issues.

Its nice that you can do your little quests and little roleplaying without any issues but there are plenty of us who cant enjoy the content we like to play because they haven't learned how to do an update without introducing game crippling issues. You seem like the selfish one here if i am being completely honest.

Complains about the increasing number of complaints listed on the forums, but insists that there aren’t any truly serious issues. Is the irony really lost on you or do you just enjoy trolling lol?

You know what, though? I will agree with you on one matter. If everyone who was tired of paying for a defective product were smart, they would simply cancel their subs and never touch the game again. After all, this burning carousal has been spinning in the same direction for years now......Players contribute monetarily towards the game monthly > game remains in a persistently half broken state > players inform company of issues > radio silence > game remains broken > complaints get louder > company promises new and exciting updates and fixes for all of the aforementioned issues! > players continue to pay full price for updates and support the game monthly > updates make the game worse > complaints get worse > rinse and repeat

    Hi everyone,

As we continue to investigate the reported performance issues (freezing, poor FPS/latency, disconnects) on our console servers, we are looking for video clips (or even livestreams) of what you are experiencing. If you're able to share them in this thread, it would be a huge help to the team.

Thank you, and we appreciate your assistance.

Does anyone at all from ZOS play console and can log in and check this stuff out themselves? Trying to fix something via word of mouth is really hard, some of this stuff just needs to be experienced for yourself.

If ZOS does not own any Consoles then maybe we the playerbase can put a GoFundMe together and purchases ZOS a couple. Of course you would still need to hook them up / patch and log in and play  .

    Hello everyone,

The patch this week, in large part, contained fixes for crashes, some stuttering, and the 3-6+ second freezes that you could experience almost anywhere you went (you would eventually recover from those). This is not the same thing as when your client freezes due to almost any crash.

Those fixes were addressed and pushed out quickly first, because they affected all platforms and almost all players. That doesn't mean we're done though. We're currently diving deep into console-specific crash reports so that we can knock those out. We're currently debugging/fixing crashes caused by:

-Too many character load requests at once (like in Cyrodiil near a zerg)
-Keep piece destruction, which would likely affect a number of you simultaneously
-Queued loads for mounts that leave your client view by the time they are processed (more likely to happen in Cyrodiil loading into a keep)
-Certain asset textures being applied at the wrong time (more likely to happen in our newer zones)
    -Various animation-related multithreading issues
    -GPU corruption in foliage

And more. Please rest assured, while we don't always comment on posts, we are reading them. And yes, someone does read those comments you submit with crash reports! We definitely understand how frustrating crashes can be, there's nothing worse than having to dashboard your app when you just want to play the game, us included! Thank you everyone for your feedback and patience while we resolve these problems, we appreciate it.

This is some pretty good information and exactly what us as customers are looking for! Thanks and I really hope ZOS can finally get all the bugs and crashes fixed!!

    This post is hilariously ironic.
Some people are allowed to get away with anything combative and unconstructive because of how many stars they have and how long they have been here as long as they say favorable things.

But, back to the topic. What is the confidence of the fix that is supposedly coming? Or will we be another 3 weeks with permafreezing in PvP?

True story. 5+ of my comments have been deleted because I was talking bad about Zo$. We should hear something from gina "soon".

I know right? There is rumor a whole thread was once closed for pointing that out so be careful.

If you posted any kind of complaint in this thread and have an active ESO plus subscription, you’re only allowing them to continue to not fix issues.

    CANCEL YOUR ESO PLUS

You don’t care? Fine. But why are you even in this thread then? This is specifically talking about performance issues affecting console players. If you’re so lucky to not have been affected by these issues then why dont you do as you say and play the game?

This is nothing to do with being meta but about people who have paid good money with the expectations of being able to play a game as it is advertised. No one here expects a miracle and for all the issues to completely disappear, we just want a stable enough game that we can play and enjoy.

Not looking to be confrontational but considering how much attention this thread has received it appears that it is a larger issue than you seem to understand.

    Good day.

Actually the majority is experiencing these issues, PVE guilds can't do trials, PvP guilds can't PVP. You talk about how everyone who is complaining has no life but then suddenly turn around and begin asking why you should be punished by them taking the servers down. So what is it... do you also play this game to the point that them taking down the servers for a bit to fix them would drastically impact you or is everyone else reasonable in their demands that they want to play the game.

You sound selfish and arrogant, complaining about all these people with a legitimate understanding that as consumers we are being wronged. Just because you might not be effected like 80% of the population right now doesn't make you the divine choice of ZOS to come to their aid and tell us we are all being silly. This is unacceptable and your comment is unacceptable

Tried to PVP tonight on Xbox NA Vivec. Lag was worst than I have experienced in over a year probably so I deleted my Xbox saved data. I logged back into cyrodiil and when I hit a skill, it did not register right away. I am hoping they are fixing the problems and I logged off.

Hey @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom i get freeze during the Alessia Fight on Xbox EU approximatively at 2:00am this night, the fact is population server was so low that I can’t imagine that was « a bunch of zerglings » which create this freeze, but only the crappy code behind Cyrodiil.

Any information should be really appreciate.

My personal favorite is freezing, rebooting and freezing on the loadscreen coming back into the game. Top notch, folks, I hope the weekend was relaxing for all of the team.

I don’t think the “team,” works on weekends which is unacceptable in any technological corporation. I did hear about so called gsme masters being in the game in Vivec on Xbox NA Friday night to observe, but I haven’t seen any clips of it. I will believe it when I see it.

I've yet to ever see one on ps4 na they do not exist and if they do it would be cool to see a video of one lol i'm probably wrong tho they probably do exist but i myself ain't going to believe it until i see one also just trying to bump the thread again i really couldn't think of anything else to say

This I can vouch for. Ive seen them, And my friend has screenshots of one in zone chat on PS4 NA. Back when there were botters at the Alikr Dolmens, A gamemaster came in and instakilled everybody. They have a little “z” next to their name.

Hate the issues PVP is having. I dont PVP much at all, Just occasionally to buy things like motifs or jewelry that are AP only. Havent been at all since ive heard about all the issues over there. What sucks is, My friends that PVP alot are cancelling subs and leaving the game. Makes me sad. When I started this game over 2 years ago, The community was in much better shape. Cities were so full you could barely walk around all the people, You could get a group in zone chat no problem, PVP wasnt so laggy, And activity finder actually worked! Now towns are getting less and less populated..The community is dwindling down, And I hate to see that happen to such an amazing game. I dont know what the problem is, But I wish they would be more straightforward and tell us what the problem really is, And if they can fix it or not. They probably wont though..Because in all honesty its probably something they cant fix, And if they tell people that....Its over for them. :(

Just walked around clearly invisible to other people killing yellows who had no idea what was going on.

Yet I'm sure instead of spending their effort fixing these bugs, there's a better chance of me being banned for 'exploiting' the invisible glitch that I have no control over.

Tera is a nice game, we play that now since ZOS doesnt care about performance issues. My wife cant do trials on pc due to freezing and i havent had so many console restarts in my life. But hey my wife thought it could be on our end and took her stuff to a friends house and tried playing there. Guess what... Yup freezing while trying to do trials.

PS4 NA Shor: DC was able to walk away with the Scroll of Ghartok with minimal fighting due to the fact that the reds all froze at the scroll. I got sniped so hard in a field last night I froze and had to close and restart. ZOS created game issues are more OP than Sloads right now.

Yes, part of the latest update. You will see basically many of the skills used by players getting used by npc's now, along with much higher health, based on the level of the keep.

And a very sad day for me...I've been a long time eso subscriber and have decided to cancel until the screen freeze issue is fixed. It is absolutely unacceptable, the worst I've have ever seen.(Occasionally my screen freezes again before my character fully respawns after reset from a screen freeze ) I realize that's it's not an easy fix but it is an absolute emergency and I would expect it to be treated as such. That doesn't appear to be the case. I'm not asking anyone else to do the same, everyone needs to decide what's important. A fix for this particular issue is at absolute critical stage. I would rather have the option of deleting the full Summerset update rather than continue as is.

Last night in Cyrodiil I froze 6 times in 30 minutes. Only got to play for 8 minutes as I waited to reload by character. This is INSANE and REDICULOUS. No, it’s not my set up: running an X with SSD, wired connection 75mbps, 7ms ping. Before Summerset from January through May, I only froze a TOTAL of 2 times..........
