I was wondering that too. And I got a damn master writ that uses Scalecaller style and it's not even available. How unprofessional.“Please note that this Crafting Motif will also be available by completing Fang Lair Dungeon content via the in-game Activity Finder.“
So does this means it only drops if you use Acivity Finder?
The Fang Lair Crafting Motif will be available in the Crown Store on all platforms starting on June 27. Please note that this Crafting Motif will also be available by completing Fang Lair Dungeon content via the in-game Activity Finder.

So in other words, it was clear we would get this with the crown store release.
With the initial early release of Summerset to PC on May 18th, the patch notes stated that:
"The Fang Lair and Scalecaller Motif chapters and Style Items will begin dropping from their respective dungeons shortly after the launch of Summerse
There were no dates, no indication of exactly when they will be released. Just a blanket statement that leaves us guessing. Immediately after the pre-release, we found out that they are not dropping yet (despite dungeons dropping the trait material and master writs now have them as styles). Which made most of us believe that they will be released after the official launch of Summerset - June 4th. However, that was not the case and we heard absolutely nothing from ZOS once again.
At the same time, we had the Crown Store Showcase that displayed these motifs as available to purchase from the Crown Store on June 27th. Once again, we did not get anything that explicitly stated when they will be obtainable from dungeons, either on June 27th or before that.
People have asked about the release date and nothing was replied to my knowledge. This in my opinion is absolutely horrible practice from ZOS. If the motifs do indeed drop on June 27th (which they appear to be), don't use the word "shortly". "Shortly" does not mean 3 weeks from launch or over a month from the initial patch note. Releasing the motifs to the crown store at the same time as them being obtainable in game just screams out greed.
Overall, combined with the lack of communication, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and from most other players that I have talked to. What do you guys think?

Why? Some people doesn't want to complete the dungeon and pray for RNGesus until they get all the parts.
And it doesn't affect your life either.

Not quite. That is a statement of availability, not timing. Also, in context, directly after the statement for fang and scale is the showcase for tsaesci. That motif does not share the same crown store timing as fang or scale, and does not share the same availability.
The only statement of timing we had for fang and scale in game, was where they said it was dropping shortly after launch. Launch being defined by the website and all the promo materials as the console release day.
Before summerset, I was about 30 motif chapters away from knowing them all. The problem being, I am at the point where each frogging chapter takes forever of a random grind, or is 30k 40k 50k in the traders. I can’t go broke, because who knows what the heck is going to show up at the luxury vendor or the cyrodiil golden vendor.
Now with the addition of 5 motifs, I’m about 100 chapters away from All Motifs.
I was going to use the time before crown store release to go whole hog on farming fang and scale, and send the gold that came in from those straight back out into the hands of other players buying up their expensive chapters.
Basically, leverage my time in those hard dungeons that still flatten high champ players into getting closer to a goal.
But now, I can’t do that. People are going to look at a 200k price tag on a chapter I farm and decide they would rather spend 2k or whatever crowns. That’s going to leave me, and other dungeon farmers, with far less of a payday for our efforts at mastering those places.
Instead of being able to trade a chapter from a difficult dungeon for a few chapters available just from fishing or farming, I’m now about 100 chapters from motif completion and without a good income to use to close that gap.
And as of this coming weekend, the second half of the year begins. The second half of the year contains two MORE dungeons and who knows if there will be more motifs. Bloodroot and falkreath have motifs. Fang and scale have motifs. No reason to think that the new hircine dungeons won’t also have a couple. And a whole area, with its own motifs I expect. Wrothgar came with motifs. Gold Coast came with motifs. Hews bane came with motifs. Summerset came with motifs. Vvardenfell came with motifs. There is EVERY reason to expect murkmire to have motifs.
Rather than getting closer, the timing of this makes it seem like the goal is getting further and further away.

Bah, what drivel. Why not take it a step further, then? "Some people don't want to level, so they buy Skyreach carries from zone. ZOS might as well sell fully-leveled accounts."
The point is that ZOS has elevated the Crown Store to the same level as actual in-game rewards for playing the content. Never before has a motif appeared on the Crown Store at the same time it appeared in-game. These are rewards that are supposed to entice and reward engagement with their content. But now they act in equal part as enticements for people to just open their wallet.
It's the principle of the matter. That content and gameplay should come first. This is being eroded, slowly. And it disturbs me that this doesn't concern you and that you would so flippantly dismiss it. Incredible.

the thing you have to get use to is players will always find ways to pay around what they dont want to do.

Then let them do so. After the usual period of in-game exclusivity. Because, you know, acquiring something through gameplay is supposed to be the intended way of obtaining something in a game. I certainly hope this isn't a novel concept to you.
(And for ZOS to reach this release parity by way of an artificial delay to in-game availability is just an extra insult.)

Don’t need to add them, because they were always being considered as customers.
It’s the people who would buy the page, but will now buy the crown store book instead, that decrease the demand for pages.
