Bumping this up to the top again until it is sticky'd. See that title ZOS? the 17+ pages on this thread of beyond pissed consumers. That's your own inaction and it is coming back to bite you

Lol it'll never be made a sticky despite the attention it's gathering.

Why? Because ZoS knows any potential buyers who just skim through the forums to get an idea of the game will realise this game isn't worth investing their money/time in if performance is this big an issue. Id imagine ZoS wants this thread to fall off the radar and disappear.

Also, no maintenance this week? Well I'll be damned. If next weeks maintenance doesn't fix this, then according to the two week maintenance cycle we will be waiting four weeks for this to be fixed from today. That is enough time to basically cause irreversible damage on the population, with players I know leaving at increasing rates on PS4 NA for other games.

Times ticking for the software engineers down at ZO$ headquarters.

    Zenimax - here's a suggestion:

Dear players - we deeply apologise for the problems that you are experiencing in pvp right now with freezing, crashing and invisible players. We are investigating, and have drawn in expert help from the industry to try and fix this as soon as possible. We share your frustrations and will keep you informed of the progress. We will also look at compensating pvp players with some bonus AP once the issue has been resolved.

As has probably been said in multiple previous posts (not going to read 18+ pages) the console issues are still happening in PVE after the patch. If I fast travel, even outside Summerset, I get 4-5 seconds of stuttering. I get rubberbanded, then returned to where I was, sometimes more than once. I get occasional longer freezes, one of which had a buzzing sound. I've had I think more blue screens since Summerset dropped, than prior. I get ridiculous lag at my evening prime playing time (and I'm I think 9 hours ahead of UK). And worse: I STILL can't do a damn Trial, any Trial, despite getting a better internet connection recently, during my evening play time, without getting disconnected at least once. This performance issue fix was promised I think for Clockwork City! And there's really nothing worse (to me) than trying to do VMA, getting a blue screen AND having that count as a death!

Not to mention I am not going anywhere near Cyrodiil atm because of the problems. I had trouble with multiple disconnections months ago during my prime play time. And it sucks that I've either got to fork out a crap tonne of of gold or AP to get the researchable jewellery / trait stones that can only be obtained in Cyro, which to me rubs salt in the wound.

One of my friends - who spent a lot in the Crown store - has quit, probably permanently, because he can't get a reliable enough connection to the servers - and it was poor before Summerset. So sure, I know I don't HAVE to be here. But if you (ZOS) want me and countless others to stick around and keep giving you money...

    Worst. Patch. Ever.

Playing th game now (PS4) is like being completely hammered. Things are moving too fast or too slow, you have a strong inclination to vomit, and everything takes an “unusually long” time to do.

On that note, if I’m getting “this is an unusually long game time” 4 times in a row, then it’s upgraded to “this is completely normal.” Zoning quickly into somewhere would be the ‘truly’ unusual thing.

See, everything can be so much better when they talk to us. Finally an update, but why only after so much YELLING! why does it have to take outcries for something that should be spontaneous. it shows people you care (right now it still feels like you're doing something only to shut us up). they are your source of income after all.

everything you do in life somehow affects others and some things are made directly for them @ZOS_AlexTardif, talk to your managers. they need to understand this to improve the overall UX.

I agree with @Exodium They'll never pin it. Typical ZOS just try to ignore a problem until it goes away and bury any thread related to it. Don't let this fall off the main page guys!

This is depressing to watch. This game is SO GOOD when it’s working well. I fear ESO’s console performance will never be as good as it was in those videos, unless the game is still around when the next gen consoles come out.

...because I was in Vivec when it happened. We ALL got dc'd to character select, came back in, and real time had been rolled back by 20-30 mins. It was quite funny because yellows had just taken both our scrolls - when we all came back in they were back in red temples again :)

pre-the rollback, I was freezing EVERY large scale battle. After, I didn't freeze once and played for about a further 3 hours with no freezes - some large battles too. I posted in zone and others also realised that they had not frozen either.

With the information we have so far - my guess is they hot patched a server, switched everyone onto that server, which caused the roll-back, and are testing a patch.

The worst part of this is it's being exploited by a certain alliance on Xbox to render the other two defenseless. They literally roll up 50 strong and spam aoes to crash out the defense. Those who don't crash are steam rolled over. Somehow they are less affected by the crashes... They may lose one or two but not dozens like the defense. You'd think it would affect them just as much but it doesn't.

That depends on the number of defenders, I'm guessing.

When they roll in, maybe you suddenly have to load an additional 50+ players all at once, along with their costumes, armor, weapons and mounts. They already have each other loaded, of course, and only have to load 15 defenders at once. Less chance of a sudden client overload on their side perhaps...

As an update to my previous - I played again for a few more hours and again no freezes. However, at a big battle at Bleakers, a number of players in both red and blue obviously did freeze/dc/crash, just not me and a few other players. I'm on OneX, so don't know if that's making a difference, and also the population for all factions was only one bar.

We also had fun with a few invisible players - presumably those that re-logged after we'd already taken the outpost, and were placed inside.

It looks to me that they are testing something, as my personal performance has improved greatly, but it's not quite there yet.

Oh please, I'm on xbox na as well. No one has insider information on how to make people crash, it just happens. I've seen all 3 alliances crash at inconvenient times. It just depends on who doesnt crash and how many as to who wins the fight when 90% of the people crash.

If you really think there are people in voice chat calling out when to make groups crash, you need to consider taking things a little less seriously.

Yes zergs tend to make it crash more it seems, and all 3 colors run zergs at different times. maybe lets not turn this thread into a stupid "my alliance is better" thread. This is a problem that affects everyone through no control of our own. Happens with regular large battle gameplay.

We went into Sotha Sil, XBox NA, last night and it was better, but just barely. 1 or 2 freezes in about an hour before we got to the last Emp keep, then it was same old same old because the area was packed. Even on an empty server (no bars, any faction), it was too many players in one spot and everything froze up several times during the fight.

The thing is I've had freezes in the middle of nowhere, no other players around, just trying to catch up to my group. Most of the freezes are in big battles tho so probably multiple things causing issues. Last night I had 3 long loads and 1 freeze but that may have been before the theoretical "fix". I'm also on the X so maybe that helps my situation, not sure tho.
