[Poll] Would you buy a veteran zone which was completely retooled?

No -- I shouldn't have to pay, they should make it a part of the base game for free.
    No.
Just put a little switch into the options, which raises all monster values by 50% or 100%.
This won't require remodeling the world.

It also wouldn't make the content more difficult. Players who can already steamroll it, and are asking for the feature, would continue to steamroll, without much of a thought.

This has to be a troll post. Has to be.

It was more, "proving a point," than being a troll. So, I guess, "constructive trolling?"
Not going to vote because the poll options are terrible.

I don't think ZOS should do a zone by zone rework just for hardcore players. It's a neat idea, but definitely not worth the man hours. ZOS has better things to work on. And what is this nonsense of paying per zone?

Yeah, the actual point in the original post was to illustrate that the "elite" endgame players will cry about wanting something like this, but don't actually cough up cash to support the game.

That's exactly why it's biased. It's meant to cast a demographic into a negative light. It's not for the sake of data.

I've yet to see anyone produce any type of data that shows that "hardcore" or "elite" players, or whatever adjective you want to use, do not pay for content.

Even if you could demonstrate that only 15% of the base preferred more difficult content, ZOS isn't likely to dismiss them. There aren't many people or companies that want to take a decrease in revenue.

Picked this because I dont want this.

I will say, though, that we are making progress by acknowledging the tryhards as the little miniscule part of the playerbase they are.

OP should understand this is not 2005. The game is not tailored around hardcore gamers, but casual ones.
    Not going to happen.

Read the OP before you post, not doing so makes you look like a raging idiot.

I applaud your efforts op, but most of us already knew how this would play out. I didn't vote because I'm a filthy casual carebear who'd rather go fishing and pick flowers most of the time.

    Just no.

Not “no because it should be for freesies,” just no.

Yes -- I would pay for a veteran version of a zone from the Crown Store.
I voted even though the poll is basically asking if you want something for free or pay for it, which is obviously simple trolling.

But, I would love it. I don't consider myself hardcore at all. But I would love love love this zone as long as it comes with actual mechanics, mods and bosses and not just giving each spider 750k HP and a one shot attack.

How about if you have ESO+? Would you be able to access it like all other DLC?

wear 5 pieces of armor or no armor and redo a region... there you go its harder.
not paying for no work apart from increasing a few numbers in the database.

I used to post the same thing and I really gave it several tries. It's not harder at all, it takes longer. Theres a big difference. Enemise need to move faster and do new things. Only altering damage does not provide harder content.

No, they just need to add a weekly quest to go kill a specific world boss (non-DLC zones only), a different one each week, that has been imbued with the powers of Oblivion and requires like 30 players to kill, and it would drop something useful: could be a costume or pet or, very rarely, a piece of Trial gear. The key here is that it promotes group play and there's actually an incentive, two things that were lacking in the original ghost town Vet zones.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

That'd just be a spamfest. Once you're at 30+, you can't do a rotation, or pay attention to what's going on, you just throw stuff at the wall and hope it connects.

Also, only the top 12 damage dealers get credit for the kills, so, the other 18+ players get left to pick over the corpse and get nothing.

Yeah, this is a major issue. It already happens to some extent. Enemies like trolls do have more extensive movesets which you'll see in alternate zones. More stuff like that, spread across the map, would probably go a long way towards offering more meaningful difficulty for endgame players.

Set those technicalities aside for a moment. It's a good idea in general. WoW does it and so does GW2 and it's quite fun. Also Dolmens allow a virtually unlimited number of players to get loot. ZOS would just have to get creative or change the loot rules.

I can't speak for those two, but in the dozen other MMOs I've played with raid bosses, they're consistently the least interesting content in the game. Simply because, when they're open world, you bring in swarms and slowly melt them.
