You’ve known about the real problem for WEEKS now, permafreezing in Cyrodiil. Hiccup freezes are an inconvenience yet you focused on fixing those instead of one of your main end game content areas?!
Do you just need a mass exodus of players to fix it? A mass cancellation of subscriptions? A picket outside Zenimax Online Studios and Zenimax Media?
WHAT do WE, your customers, need to do to get you to prioritize US?!
This nonsense gets worse and worse, and it’s killing PvP guilds! It’s killing active players’ desires to play the game.

Stop telling us you’re “looking into it” when you could have already BEEN LOOKING INTO IT.

Platform: Xbox One - North America
    Area of Problem - Cyrodiil
Problem - Permafreezing during combat with multiple players. The screen freezes permanently but chat still works. You are forced to manually dashboard in order to fix it.

    Extra information:
All consoles are experiencing this problem.

A monetary blackout is what is needed for massive change in how updates, Chapters, DLC etc are issued....And also the interaction with the community when these things inevitably go wrong.

As long as the profit monster is fed, everything is fine. If the service provided is adequate enough to profit, why change it?

You can’t make anyone do anything they don’t already want to do.

You can only get people who want to do something who aren’t doing it yet.

Walk away if it’s the first situation.

Seems creating more threads on the subject is not the answer. There are several active just on the first page and basically this one offers nothing unique. Might want to add to the current active threads.

This thread might add more than your comment. Threads like this aren't about information. The original posts tend to say nothing insightful. But they aren't about information. They are about sentiment. And more angry threads communicates the sentiment better than a comment buried on page 12 of a single thread.

Personally, I find multiple complaint threads on a single topic annoying because it feels like spam. But that doesn't mean they don't better deliver the message to ZOS.

Honestly, an organized blackout of 3-5+ days would probably lead to a much better outcome. It has done wonders for multiple online games in the past. I'd be down to participate, and I'm sure many others would be as well.

It would be entertaining to see if the game feels any different with all the PvP players not logging on in protest. Would the rest of us notice? I suppose it would make it quicker to visit the gold vendor.

All I can say is it's threads like this that make me smile a little, because I don't actually pay monthly for this game.

Irony...a few months ago I got a survey to the effect of "we see you haven't subbed, what else could we give you so you will?".
I filled it out dutifully, of course. :)

Anyways, I hope your problems are patched soon.

P.S. I haven't played a ton, but I'm happily questing away in PvE. Dungeons seem fine too.
So, the patch was useful in some ways. PvE is better than it's been in a while.

Maybe I should stop buying crowns, until some of these issues like the random crashes / steam log in issues / ENDLESS cyrodiil loading screens & skill lag / 1 fps in trials / getting kicked in maelstrom arena will eventually be fixed. Sigh. I know at least 4 guildies that already cancelled their eso sub just from the pve kicks / crashes and steam issues.

And they still may not after the whole ordeal with my mount I got from the crown crates. Got two of the Crate only mounts with the Scalecaller crates but one bugged and I didn’t get it, so I had to FIGHT THEM over it to the point I had to trade for the one I wanted.

So yeah. Nah. No more crowns or subscription or even DLC/expansions for me until this game is fixed and shows CONSISTENT improvement.

Organized blackout? Let’s get some traction for this. Sign me up.

If someone takes the time to make a post about this on the forums, and set a date, I would strongly encourage them to mirror that on reddit; it will gain much more traction that way (and ZoS will probably nuke it off their forums with great haste). As a player dealing with a company that has been mute on some very key points... outside of just quitting the game all together, a blackout is really the best approach to voice your displeasure. They are not uncommon, and have been proven to be very effective with games of the past. This is definitely the approach the community would want to take rather than the "stand outside Zeni HQ in a picket line", or "Speak with your wallet" which nobody ever does.

The thing is, you can be for or against this; it really don't matter. There is absolutely no denying that this game is broken more than it is working. It's been this way since launch. What makes this even worse is the rate at which they fix it. I cannot think of ANY industry where it is acceptable by the general public that a purchased product remains broken for such long spans of time. Are these issues difficult to fix? I am sure they are, after all, I have worked in the IT industry for nearly 20 years; many of which I've spent writing code. That really is not the point though. All Zenimax resources should be spent making sure that their product is polished and suitable for public release. It never is though. Not a single DLC, Update, Patch, Chapter... nothing. IT IS ALWAYS BROKEN. That is on them, not the players. All you white knights can sugar coat it all you want, it doesn't make it anymore ethical. Those speaking up about it know it, and surely those at Zenimax know it.

An effectively executed blackout is what this game needs, and badly. The people calling the shots (shareholders) could care less about the technical state of the game. They care about numbers. Whats the game population at? How much revenue in sales is being generated? They just want a return on their investment. When population drops, so does profits. It wont go un-noticed if a few thousand people dont logon for a week. Which is just the kind of traction the community needs to sway those at Zenimax to actually cater to the communities' many outcries about the ***-poor state that this game is almost always in. Hell, I'd bet my character that if so many didn't have so much invested in this game... they would have left long ago. The ONLY reason any sane person sticks around through all this BS is because of their /played and their cash investment into the game.

No matter how much ZOS says that he listens to us and cares, we are just a statistic for them.

A weekend that nobody plays TESO, but nobody really, and seeing that statistic ZOS will act.

Advertise it in the game chat, on reddit, in the forums, twitter, facebook etc.

When the media turns to see, then ZOS will do something.

I don't think anyone from Zos plays this game on console and they probably think we are exaggerating about the freezing problems.

What really needs to happen is for someone to step up and give ESO some competition on consoles. Then we can spend our money with another company!
