Since this is still going what are trials like? Easier/harder than vet dungeons? I’m about 292cp and want better gear, if i get the skora helm i will have my first monster set but i don’t see it used on stamblade builds?

I mainly pvp these days because people would complain about no dps, sorry I’m not max cp and only doing 16-18k dps

Gear wise i run spriggans/hundings and 2 agility

Thanks to the above reason i gave up on trying for better gear from dungeons and went to pvp

Just get into a nice PVE guild or party. 16-18k DPS is completely enough for any Veteran dungeon, even DLCs, if you follow the mechanics and don't get discouraged after a few wipes.

I know what I am talking about because I did many veteran dungeons (including Scalecaller) with 40k total PARTY dps (at the beginning we were just PUGs below 300 CP). We wiped many times. But that was fun. Much more fun than doing it now when I have 30k DPS myself and many of the vet dungeons is a breeze

I pugged vHRC yesterday and it was a pretty decent grp. One cp 360 didn't have a clue what he was doing though and died like 10 times on the second boss (right side). Without anyone commenting on this he told everyone to *** off and left the grp and discord.

Obviously, it was the 11 other people's fault (joking)! :D:D:D

What kind of PUG was it? A zone PUG? Or a smattering of members from different guilds?

Maybe he was mad that no one was "healing" him or that no one was telling him what he was doing wrong (no feedback is meant to be "helpful" in that no one is called out, but some people might get frustrated that no one is telling them what to do differently to avoid all the deaths).

Lately, I have done all of the dungeons in my PVP gear. I main a healer and the only proc set I have is earthgore. Funny how no one minds.

You found a jerk. It happens both in PVE and PVP.

Healing in PVP gear is not the same thing as dealing damage in PVP gear. A full impenetrable burst/proc build cannot compare to a full divines PVE DPS build.

The only dungeon trolls I play with are those in Ruins of Mazzatun...

Oh, please, don't try to redeem rude and clueless players. If you can't find a way to avoid death and really want to know what to do, you don't leave, you ask in the party chat. Multiple times just in case. If you think some party members can do better, you tell them what to do in the party chat (someone may consider making suggestions rude, well, such people can't learn themselves and can't learn from others, let them be).

Being rude on the other hand is just deciding not to be polite. Trying secondguessing why another person is rude to you just makes things worse.

    Hey everyone.

Was randomly doing dungeons last night through the activity finder. I'm about a 250 CP NB right now and am running 2h and bow with werewolf.

Now for some reason some other guy in the group immediately starts talking trash like
"Oh great a PVPer for a PVE dungeon"
and then I realize he's referring to me once I hit the werewolf transformation because he begins talking more trash even though I'm swatting enemies left and right.

It sortve floored me because I assumed this was a game made for fun not to bag on people for their builds or whatever. We cleared the dungeon really with no issue I just don't get why all the hate for. Anyone care to fill me in?

The threads like this are great for all of us to get together and do our thing. I've been in game about three years and cannot tell you how many PUG runs I've done in both Normal and Vet. First I only PUG Vet when I have about three spare hours on hand. LOL. I never quit the PUG and have always completed it even though we go through many team members.

I have yet to see any real toxic behaviour in these PUGS and maybe, just maybe it's because I've lucked out with good folks or perhaps it's because I always say "Hello all!" when we first port in. Whatever it is I am sorry you had to experience such behaviour. When I first started playing my Stam Sorc over two years ago it became my main character and I ran every dungeon in game with it in Normal and Vet mode. I always used a 2H Great sword and DW and later, much later switched to Bow and DW. I enjoyed the 2H due to Rally, Crit rush, etc and of course Brawler kept me alive too I think. It was and is a very fun setup. Now I have done very very little PVP so all my gear is setup for PVE. My damage was pretty good with that setup and I never had anyone ping on me for using it. Before One Tamriel my Stam Sorc soloed all but two dungeons or delves in Craglorn. For those that know what I am talking about you know how difficult that was. Near impossible but I did it on that character.

So yeah, being hard on someone just because they see a 2H weapon is ridiculous and a bit childish in my opinion. Give the Bloke a chance and see what that player can do. One of my guilds I am in we have a player that always uses a 2H weapon. He has completed every Vet dungeon with his setup (all PVE gear) and his DPS last parse on a 6 mil dummy was 41K.

To me PUG runs are a lot of fun. You tend to meet people that have little time to play and want to get the dungeons done for t heir Undaunted leveling and of course for the Keys. Normal dungeon runs blow by like you are in a Jetstream which I don't care for but that goes with PUGGING Normal. PUGGING Vet dungeons on purpose is a different animal. I think most that PUG Vet are very sure of their ability to complete the dungeon and want to complete it in Hard Mode if it's a Pledge. Sometimes a Random Vet run ends up being a hard DLC dungeon and often those unsure will exit Group fairly quickly.

All in all enjoy the game and enjoy your playstyle. As long as you can do your part you are doing well in my opinion. Ignore those that berate others.

Have a great day in Tamriel!

Normal Trials are super easy. Vet Trials are similar to Vet dungeon runs but vary from Trial to Trial. VHOF for instance is pretty tough compared to Vet Hel Ra or Vet AA which are fairly easy.

Ah okay, i want to try to get vicious serpent after i hopefully complete vcoa2

I hit 20k dps in scalecaller, feel pretty good about it, should i be using pots and poisons? I don’t see the point of poisons when one weapon has poison enchant?

Don't get why peeps have to be d*cks in normal.. Yes it may take longer but it will get done. Got VoM the other day on my pure tank, all low lvls, I think all first time (not much chat going on).

One of the dps is running snb, but he never responded to chat so decided to see what happens. He taunted the bosses off me ... Then did a decent job of tanking them. Adjusted some skills on my backbar and would swap to a potato-dps when he pulled so the bosses wouldn't get immune. It did teach me to bring dps gear for randoms though :s

I pug a lot because I like the randomness and sometimes just wanna chill. Besides normals are for learning class, skills, mechs, whatever and for a bit of extra exp. That's also exactly where I would expect folks to have interesting builds and playstyles.
Tank queuing as DD, that was new. Yes he might have checked multiple roles or did not know about it.
And its always nice to have a DD setup on tank, some bosses like the last in DS2 can not be taunted, same with last in direfrost. It also nice for overland.

Yeah, I always have a DPS set in my inventory(Hundings Rage, Kraghs, Agility, and a couple random swords) on my tank that I will swap out for Drodda, Golbrul, etc. A DPS set doesnt make a tank a true DPS, but I can hit 22k DPS with it...so good enough to help with the likes of Drodda
