Why to inform us! if your having trouble logging in, try Repair and them wait for a 2 hour download!

Actually it does. You were able to play ESO as a non-steam game through Steam in beta.

This doesn't look like Steam.

Been patching the last hour, only 28% finished so far. Download rate goes from 50 kb/s to 1 mb/s, swinging back and forth, very odd.

Been downloading here, also. My game finished just this morning (I was there sitting at the desk) but once it hit 100% it just restarted. o_o

I am now 48% through my latest 4.5gb patch download, also convinced my wife to send me her game directory of 30.4gb as she can access the game fine. see how this works out now. 1 hour until finished downloading.

getting the same error... tried running the game as administrator... didn't work, tried downloading the client again... even though I did it before hand and got a patch? frustrating. I got up so early to get here first and I get slapped in the face.

Like I said, you can load it from Steam, like pretty much any other game. In beta this worked with no problems, as you can see by the screenshots I have uploaded. However, with the launcher version it appears that there -might- be something blocking you logging in... who knows. I'm logged in now, so I'm sure as hell not logging out to double check after I just got flamed

Like I said, you can load it from Steam, like pretty much any other game. In beta this worked with no problems, as you can see by the screenshots I have uploaded. Ok, just looks like you linked the game install location with in steam, not actually using steam download and manage the game.

I managed to resolve my problem with doing what I said above, I copied the game files from my wifes working install and it has worked wonders. I hope that what I have shared through these posts helps someone else with this same problem.

I would also assume that the repair will lead to access also.

yah i'm stuck with the repair option sadly

1gb 50mb onto 4.5gb now

I'm almost done. 75%... It created yet another download for me on 4.5gb, however, I'm getting quite impatient. I'm trying to contact my friend who has the game but not an account, to see if we can transfer it and hopefully make it work that way.. I started downloading all this about 2 hours ago, and all it's doing it to keep patching many gigabytes.

I again had this same problem again after patch 1.01 came out.

It seemed that the beta launcher I was told that I could continue to use instead of reinstalling the game, was wrong.

The existing launcher appears to not automatically update the game with new patches, it did it on the 30th and then again today. I have since uninstalled the launcher and redownloaded a new launcher, copied my 1.00.9 files into the new launcher location and it appears to be updating to 1.01 now.

This is getting old. If you say we can use something, it should be useable. Sorry, just come online from a 13 hour unexpected maintenance to find this issue still not resolved.
