"Requesting Login..."

Hello,

I just opened the launcher at 6:20 AM, EST, to find out that Early Access has already begun. Unfortunately, when I try to log into my account, it says "Requesting Login..." and then after 1-2 minutes, it says "Login timeout" as if it couldn't contact the login server.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you in advance.

I also am having this same problem, others in my house have since been able to connect without an issue, I am just the only one here with this problem too.
I am however, at the moment, renaming my install folder and attempting to replace the install files with a backup I did earlier today to see if the problem still persists.

If anyone has a work around for this, please let us know.

What i attempted did not work.
I am not attempting to repair the install files through the launcher.
19663 MB remaining.

After running the repair, it tells me that i have a 982MB download that it failed to locate.
I hope this resolves the issue.

Select Game Options from the launcher and then select Repair. It will take a couple of minutes.

Thanks for the updates Schmackei,

I'm currently trying to open the game I just backed up yesterday through my USB harddisc, and it wants me to update 200 MB too - I hope this resolves the issue, if it doesn't, I'll try to repair as you recommend me to.

Did you have any luck? I still have 230MB to download, not long until I can test it.

Right now it's applying 13gb updates but I only downloaded 200 MB.. I'm applying the last 7gb right now.. almost there! Give me 15-20 minutes and we'll see!

Yeah, I downloaded that 1gb, then it apparently wanted to patch 10gb from no where. It then downloaded another 50mb and then verified another 4gb of data, NOW it is downloading another 4.5gb of crap, this is horrid. I patched this game on the 28th like they suggested to do.

I'm 18% through.. I fear I'll go through the same.. I also patched it as they suggested me to (even did it yesterday - it said there were no patches).. We've been buttfucked. Guess I won't play before tonight.

Did this game take anyone else a long time to download? I was downloading the game last night at 6 came back at 8 and it was at 4% at this rate I won't be done for early access. Anyone else have long download times???

hmm file should only be 30gb, sounds like yours is downloading the whole game again to hit 60gb

When you first install the game (at least when I did it back in February), once it reaches 4% it seemed to hang for about an hour. I made a background image for my desktop of it stuck at 4% and swore my desktop moved faster than the launcher did at that point.

My game files have not changed in size from when the servers came up, clicked repair or have downloaded these patches, the file size has remained the same to the KB.

Played beta but having this issue also, despite patching the game before launch. Considering that it is fundamental to be able to get through the login server a CSR should probably address this issue. I've been attempting to login to the EU mega server for over an hour.

It could be the stress on the login servers that's causing this but that's highly unlikely since there's a queue and a stress server.. so I don't see any other solutions other than going through these "patches" they want us to.

hmm well guys in the game have their install at 30gb, mine currently says applying patch after dl the gb fingers crossed lol

Steam does not support ESO...

Mine also been reading what you guys have been doing, ran the repair on mine needed a 972mb patch. It applied 10gb after DLing now its trying to DL another 4.5gb I don't understand why though when I have been checking off and on everyday since last beta.EDIT* When I checked everyday it always said 100%

Steam does not support ESO...

Actually it does. You were able to play ESO as a non-steam game through Steam in beta.
