And those who go afk while in conversation, without telling his dialog partner, that is ok? Really?
Right at that moment, where the officer gives him the oppurtunity to settle things down ?
Really???

Well there can be situations where something happens in the real world and you have to deal with that without taking the time to text about it as it is actually real and therefore slightly more important than something in a game.

I thought this was the norm too but I've encountered several guilds where it's actually encouraged to "keep it in the family" so to speak. Purely anecdotal but this seems to happen more often with the sort of guild that isn't out to compete at the highest trader level but rather to provide a way for their members to trade casually.
[...] Is it bad form to ask for prices below market value when you're buying in guildchat from your guildmates? If it is, I will refrain from doing so. However, it doesn't make any sense to me at all. I sent out that same request to all of the other guilds that I'm in and received plenty of Kresh.
Sorry I was AFK there overnight.
For clarification: This guild had no restrictions regarding selling in guild chat. In fact, I asked in GC because I saw others doing it.
The price I was asking was not unreasonable. As you can see here, there are plenty of sales going off at 10g.
A player who asks for Ebonthread one day and then asks for Kresh the next day is probably crafting and NOT trying to somehow buy stuff for reselling. Should also be mentioned that these are the only 2 items I had ever asked to buy in GC.
Also, worth noting that there was no available Kresh in the guild store or I would have bought it there. It is reasonable to assume that guild members are using their slots to sell the bigger ticket items and probably have these lower level items laying around that they'd be happy to sell. Which worked just fine in the other 4 guilds.
Your ex-guild officers are 100% wrong and their elitist attitudes is in part what makes this game suck. Of course I don't blame them, I blame the design of the trade system in that it allows for these kinds of attitudes to surface and flourish.
yes, of course, blame the trade system that wasnt even used and had no bearing on what happened. Thats a typical response from you.
It is considered bad form in some places to treat guild mates as if they were random people off the street by charging full markup.Mahabahabtha wrote: »

Guild traders would hate me ..
I sell all sorts for stupid amounts ...
Someone wanted a necklace ... Can't remember which one but market value was 40k to 50k.
My price ... "Get naked n box me"
I laughed so hard at the sight of two toons fighting out just in there skivvies it was well worth it
He got his necklace I hit a laugh ... Fair trade in my eyes
This is why I'm poor and constantly get kicked from trade guilds
Edit:Serious fat fingers syndrome aka bad spelling

You can zone chat for cheaper mats. People rip people off everyday doing it, acting like they are doing noobs a favour by getting it off their hands quicker.

Same! I hate it when people I am not good friends with or close do that to me. I am not your "love" hun from zone chat. You're drunk. Go home.
It's an English thing - people in England say 'hun' and 'luv' a lot.
I also say hunny, but that's a Southern thing.
9/10 of the time, people are being friendly.
It's the same as being offended if someone says Merry Christmas to me, when I am not a Christian and don't do Christmas.
They are trying to be nice, so I say thank you!
Who else to blaim than the people, who turn it into this? Who creates monopolys, the programmers or players? The answer should be obvious. And no, "incentivizing" or "encuraging" doesn't count as an argument to blaiming developers. Free will, remember you have it?Your ex-guild officers are 100% wrong and their elitist attitudes is in part what makes this game suck. I have seen similar things go down in trade guilds I have been in. Some serious abuse of power because the GL or officer took issue with another player and in every case I witnessed the player did nothing wrong. It was a misunderstanding on the GL or officers part.
Its amazing that someone can play the game for 2 months, get in a trade guild and witness this kind of behavior that ZOS apparently thinks is ok, and nothing is done about it.
