Ha! Perhaps you should look at the numbers again.Good. But last time you perma banned a few people who didn't abuse the exploit. Please excuse my lack of faith. Temp bans and skin removal should be enough in some cases. Better a wrong doer go free than an innocent he punished
Nice! Glad to once again see the continued push from ZOS to keep the game fair and make bold statements that exploiting is not cool in ESO.
IB4 "ZOS shouldn't ban exploiters because..."
Someone that was 'perma banned' in the first round of vAS exploits are back in the game today so while I want to believe ZOS is doing the right things, why bother if they're just going to come back. These new people will sit out a few minutes and then probably come right back too. I called out said person in guild chat and was immediately kicked from the guild by their friend. Go ZOS.

Taking part in this exploit is a violation of the ZeniMax Terms of Service, and as a result, we have just suspended 1,046 accounts and issued a permanent ban to 117 accounts who were found to have undoubtedly taken advantage of the exploit. Suspensions will be held while we conduct a more in-depth investigation of the accounts, which will be completed by time Summerset launches on console with a fix for the exploit on June 5. Additionally, the unfairly-earned Skin will be removed from the account.
It's worth noting that we will perform an additional audit between now and June 5 for any additional accounts to use this exploit, and we will action those accounts as necessary.

Instead of patching a well known issue (Or better yet, testing their content for exploits before release....) thats gone through 3 or 4 itterations they decide to ban 1100 people? And only the vAS glitchers? Not vmol or mazz which are both still exploitable and i assume haven't been fixed?
What about the cyro and imp city glitchers who exploit other well known glitches and use them for ap and tel var farming to sell herbs and gold jewelry? Surely these are things that must cheapen the "reward" for end game players?
Glitches and exploits have been part of this game since launch (Ive been here since console launch) and theyve always stuck to banning people who where making ACTUAL profit from the glitches by selling runs and posting runs, and that makes total sense and i agree with that whole heartedly but this move is just lazy.
You fixed one known version of this glitch and didn't bother to check if - what in the devs own words is "the hardest content" and what was a major part selling point for the dlc - could be exploited in the EXACT same way from elsewhere never mind other similar tactics that followed while selling it as a "finished" product and profiting.
First round of bans after patching it - fair. Everything after that is their own laziness and tbh theyre gambling with a player base they may not be able to lose
Que people calling me salty
norebb16_ESO wrote: »Players didnt take advantage of an exploit, they took advantage of the devs laziness which is easy to document. These glitches are reported clearly or this conversation wouldnt be happening. Ive personally reported several of the imp city ones ages ago but they haven't fixed any yet.
get rekt.
If these are some of the people I'm thinking of. . . then some of them paid upwards of $150 USD for that vAS clear.
Folks willing to cheat their way through a videogame, or the amount of people looking for an easy ride - makes me lose faith in the human race. Think about if these are people you might work with in real life, of worse - work FOR.
people with such low moral values theyre willing to cheat the system, or step on others to get to the top. Good riddance.
