I'm surprised if I don't see a bot train in Shadowfen.

Landlords who don't take care of their property send a clear signal. Botting must be ok.

Shadowfen is the home of the Permanent Bot Train out at Percolating Mire. The accounts change, but that bot train has been running the exact same path for so long they might as well have a Zone Designer go in and make a trail in the Zone to commemorate the path that they travel. In the real world, there would be a muddy rut a foot deep there.

    GUESS WHAT? INFINITE BOT TRAINS!
All reports goes to /dev/null. No GM seems to respond. There are the same accounts and even the same characters over and over and over. You want proof? Here's some nice video for you! Some high quality 24/7 TRAINBOTTING!

Why is it still happening? I remember there was a time without this cancer. What happened?

There was a time without this cancer? :/ Anyways, I'll going to try out Bot Scanner 2000 soon.

It is still happening because the botters create or buy new accounts and use them to run the same scripted patterns. When they get banned, and they do, it is a matter of hours before they show up again.

You give no clues about what server your video was taken on. A quick check of my records says that I have reported (or noted) close to 100 bots on that beach this year (PC/NA). Last time I was there, there were 6 bots running there (PC/NA), and the oldest ones I reported just over a month ago (Nov 10, 2017). If new bots show up, I will report them, but right now I am just waiting for them to get around to banning the ones that are there. When that happens, I will report the new ones.

As they have said, it takes multiple reports against an account for it to attract their attention. I have seen cases where one or two disappear, but the rest remain. I figure this is because someone just reported one bot and said "there are others there". They say that works, but based on this observation, I report them all individually. If they take action against me for over-reporting, their loss.

I can definitely say that when I report them, no one trots right out there and bans them any time soon.

As an aside, this is not the worst of the cases. There are a few bots running in Shadowfen that I have reported more than once. I have a rule that I never report more than one time, but these guys have been there since AUGUST and I wondered if the reports were getting misfiled into the "don't care" bucket. Others have gone, and new ones have come, but these guys are like royalty. I have named one of them the King of Shadowfen. They should rename the area after him. I don't even report bots in Shadowfen anymore. It is a waste of my time. There must be something about them that frightens ZOS and they won't touch them. Maybe they are ZOS run bots. Who knows.

If you have reported so many times and nothing was done, how the heck can you even expect it to change if you continue reporting?- Think about Einstein's quote about insanity - to do the same tasks over and over again and expect their outcome to change is insane. Just let go on it, that is an issue, where they either don't care or see it as a task, which has too short of an effect to be repeated over and over and over again.

Yes, and for that reason, I have not reported any bots for a very long time. At one point, as I mentioned above, I stopped reporting bots until the ones that I had already reported were gone. I just stopped reporting. I still make spending decisions based on how ZOS polices their game, I just don't tell them when I encounter players that make me want to stop spending money here.

I still use "Bot Scanner 2000" addon to report all Bots. Still works even though it is outdated atm. It does all the hard work for you. Scan the Bots with it as they pass by your Crosshair and then just click on each name in the Scan window. It fills out the Report and you just click to submit it.

All those Bots with names like "Scye468LXi22alsdkjfalsdjf" are captured instantly for the report. It's currently the only way I know how to report these Bots. Videos help to show the abundance of Bots but reporting them at least gets them into the system.

I have seen one in the Rift yesterday - pretty annoying - like 8 characters, all with letter salad names, all equipped with the same gear and outfit, really looking like a train when they attack - clearly not moving as a group of players, but like a bot.

Let's see how many complaints are made about bots taking all the jewelry nodes. Leaving actual players sheet out of luck.

I still wonder if ZoS is running bot trains since they run around without a care.

Too bad they don't monitor the game like they do the forums. They were quick to inform me, when I replaced a letter with an asterisk. That I would be banned from the forums if I subverted the the rules.

Banned for life from forums for an asterisk. Run bots, exploit, and get a slap on the wrist.

They should implement a bot justice system... If you repeat some actions you can get a warned, bots will ignore that. After some warnings, or what else, the player is tagged for Justice System and other players can attack and loot them.

2 Flies with one hit. We got our Justice System PvP and the Community can clean the bots itself without spamming ZOS support.

Aldmeri Dominion (PC EU via Steam)

The cowardly Wood Elves are best noted for their unwillingness to engage in a face-to-face attack; a Bosmer will strike at you from every side except the front. You won't cross swords with a Bosmer, but you might catch an arrow in the throat. Be wary in forests and jungles, and watch your back.

Looks like your standard Dolmen zerg.

But in all seriousness, not much you or ZOS can do to stop them. Report them, they get banned, they show up on different accounts.

Only way to stop them is get them banned enough times that they lose money on the deal, by having to buy another copy.

Could also blame those nerds who buy gold off them.
