Auridon. Grathwood. Khenarti's Roost. What's common in all of these places?
GUESS WHAT? INFINITE BOT TRAINS!
All reports goes to /dev/null. No GM seems to respond. There are the same accounts and even the same characters over and over and over. You want proof? Here's some nice video for you! Some high quality 24/7 TRAINBOTTING!

Why is it still happening? I remember there was a time without this cancer. What happened?

    Can agree.

Actually I don't see any problems with bots. But in view of the fact that third-party software is used, bots must be banned. There are a lot of bot trains in the initial locations of the factions.
    Everything is viable

These bots took a pretty crappy location to grind though from so many possible uninhabited choices :d

It is still happening because the botters create or buy new accounts and use them to run the same scripted patterns. When they get banned, and they do, it is a matter of hours before they show up again.

You give no clues about what server your video was taken on. A quick check of my records says that I have reported (or noted) close to 100 bots on that beach this year (PC/NA). Last time I was there, there were 6 bots running there (PC/NA), and the oldest ones I reported just over a month ago (Nov 10, 2017). If new bots show up, I will report them, but right now I am just waiting for them to get around to banning the ones that are there. When that happens, I will report the new ones.

As they have said, it takes multiple reports against an account for it to attract their attention. I have seen cases where one or two disappear, but the rest remain. I figure this is because someone just reported one bot and said "there are others there". They say that works, but based on this observation, I report them all individually. If they take action against me for over-reporting, their loss.

I can definitely say that when I report them, no one trots right out there and bans them any time soon.

As an aside, this is not the worst of the cases. There are a few bots running in Shadowfen that I have reported more than once. I have a rule that I never report more than one time, but these guys have been there since AUGUST and I wondered if the reports were getting misfiled into the "don't care" bucket. Others have gone, and new ones have come, but these guys are like royalty. I have named one of them the King of Shadowfen. They should rename the area after him. I don't even report bots in Shadowfen anymore. It is a waste of my time. There must be something about them that frightens ZOS and they won't touch them. Maybe they are ZOS run bots. Who knows.

Gold sellers are a Plague. Zenimax really needs to be more aggressive with this problem.

I would say they are part of the reason the economy is so jacked up on PS4.

Rivenspire, Alik'r Desert, Betnikht, The rift, Shadowfen[..] EVERYWHERE

What common in all of these place ? The tranquility, they know that they will probably have 3/4 month to level their accounts and farm dreugh-wax in order to Sell gold in chat and Sell account, then zenimax will decide to do something and ban them ...

I won't say that they don't ban them like a lot say ... because i know they do it ... it's just that it takes too much time, and this last thing is true.

A week or so ago I saw a bot train run right into Elden Root, I guess to empty their inventories. They really aren't worry about getting reported.

No. They know that ZOS isn't really active on this front. I am sure that the reason that ZOS waits for reports, and then counts the reports before acting, is that they don't want to spend time on the bots unless enough people complain. Then they are all about swooping in and dealing with the matter.

I dunno. Maybe they just deal with bots once a quarter, or once a month, on some afternoon before heading out. Who knows. All I know is that new bots appear so much faster than ZOS gets rid of them that it is probably hardly even a concern for the botters. They have free run of the game, and they know it. (edit: the botters know it, too)

I have admittedly given up on reporting them. It takes too much to my time to run after each bot I see to report them. All I feel I can do is refuse to craft for and buy from people I suspect run bots. Sad that I pretty much ignore anyone in my guild asking for a crafter to make low-level training gear now and likewise I've stopped buying certain items from the trade guild I'm in because it's bad enough I have to compete with bot runners in the same guild. And I never, never buy from zone chat--never really did before, but now more committedly. I don't think any of this makes much an impact, but all teh same, I don't want anything to do with bot runners if I can help it.

Fact is, bots do not get banned. End of discussion.

If you see a bot disappear, it is not because of your report, but because the account got linked to gold selling. And yes, gold sellers tend to lose their accounts quite often. No matter how many guild banks you have and how careful you are, some buyers report sellers after a purchase and it makes part of the gold trackable.

You don't believe me? Get a bot yourself. Not very hard. Just google for a good botting software. Report yourself 10 times. Bot for another month. Then come back and tell me I was right. As long as you don't sell gold, no one will touch your bot.

Yes, I know ZOS made an official statement that bots are getting banned. I just haven't heard of a single case where an account of any gold seller I know got banned for actual botting.

Source: I'm a long-time member of elitepvpers and EpicNPC communities. No, I do not bot myself, but I know many people who do in multiple games incl. ESO and make a good living off it.

Would not surprise me if this was true. I have to figure that either they are so overwhelmed that they can't keep up with bots, or they really don't care about bots. If all they care about is gold selling, then I guess it is reasonable that it is the latter and all they do is check the account to see if it is associated with gold selling. If it is, ban time. If it isn't, carry on.

Bots in MMO's will always exists. People are always buying gold. You ban the bots, new ones pop up in a minute. Purchasing new accounts is cheap with the amount of money they make off of gold buyers.

yeah, the usual places. these locations have been botted by trains for so long back I cant even remember a time it wasnt happening . it's incredible. you have to wonder why zos doesn't just put up THREE wide screens monitoring these locations 24/7, so they only have to glance up on the screen when a train comes chooing, "ban time!". but no, these trains go on and on and on. in the EXACT same places constantly, 24/7 non-stop. For YEARS! dafrog up with you zos?? u blind or sumtin?

And now that I have sat here and watched the video for a while I recognise the pattern they run in; it's the same damn pattern, the exact same route I have seen when I went to these places to witness it myself. meaning, this must be the same person doing it again and again and again over and over. they must just be reusing the same route each time.

At least with Bots like these you can snipe the mobs before they get to them, that way they don't collect any mats cause they didn't get hits in. The real pains are the ones that stand in one spot in the middle of a group of spawns just constantly firing off attacks. You can't grief those, unless there's a convenient world boss nearby.
