With yet another new skill line is it about time we had more skill slots?

    i actually have a better idea.

    you have ultimate points for a single ultimate, and most of the time u actually use only one. What if you could slot a normal spell on the ultimate slot? For example on front bar i have dawnbreaker, and on back bar on ult slot i have rapid maneuver. The skill will not cost ultimate, obviously. You still use ur ultimate points only on the ultimate ability, but the slot is free for a normal spell if you don't need to slot 2 ults.

    They already have issues balancing *** now. Giving us more skill slots at our disposal will just make things worse.

    All the skill slots.. everybody gets skill slots.. God i miss rune of magic skill setups.. This ESO hotbar flipping is so clunky and limiting..

    This would negatively affect my snipe spam, therefore I am opposed to this idea.

    Seriously tho I play on xbox & the controls are already a jumble, the optional ult/skill idea above is a good one tho.

    The problem I'd have with more skill slots is two fold:

    One.... I have coordination issues, and as silly as it may seem, I have a hard enough time coordinating 5-10 abilities(My task bars usually have 1-2 slotted buff abilities instead of actives each)...

    Two. The length of time on abilities is not enough to really add more to rotations. Like, on WoW buffs and dots last for a long time, plus you have auto-attack in the interim. To add more slots might help out with some quality of life skills, but having the extra slots would allow/force(by expectation of peers) more difficult meta builds.

    I find the opposite. Too much restriction leads to boring, flavorless classes using the same few skills over and over.

    In SWTOR on my assassin I could use anwyhere from 13 to 18 skills in any given fight. In ESO I use 3 to 5, and that gets boring after awhile.

    Well we can play with mouse&keyboard, but i don't know how, because what i heard there needs to be somekind of program. I'm not sure thou.

    Regardless of platform, adding even 1 more slot would be more impactful than the dreaded balance changes some of us experience.

    I think this is one of the items that needs to be left alone forever as its a big reason this game is different than other MMORPG types due to the forced choices that produce variety.

    I actually like this idea. I only use 1 ultimate on most of my characters anyway...

    People complain about balancing now, I don't want to even imagine the complaints with more skills. I like the current limitations, it makes your skill choices important.

    ESO is already a button smash contest, no need to add more smashing.

    If there'd be skill cooldowns, 5 skill slots + ultimate would bee too few.
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

    Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

    i would like to see an additional "utility slot" that doesn't change when you switch weapons but you could also only slot those skills considered utility like inner light, sorc pets/bound armaments, inferno etc.

    so really half a slot but a very useful half a slot.
    only a few years left to go now....

    BS, just give every body a third skill bar like sorcs, even if it was only for utility skills.

    It’s not a bad idea but it’s a major balance change. What happens then is you’d have to always do this to achieve the new “standard” created by players.

    I really think this is something better left as is.
    For example if you use the bear ultimate....you’d have to keep recasting in bar swap which i can see as an issue

    I'll give up switching 1st person/3rd person from the dpad to allow for a toggle on third utilty bar.

    Remember that it isnt just a "free third bar" for sorcs. It is limited. It takes up an ulti spot and I cant use an ulti if i want to keep it available and I cannot use a weapon while on the third bar.
