The problem isnt that the new styles dont dye period, the problem is that even the darkest, most saturated dyes are washed out to a pastel, mirror finish version of itself.
Coldharbour Ash Black should ALWAYS be a matte, black black. Yet on any of these new styles, it looks silver at *best*. This is just bad texture work.
If I want a dark matte green on my Sapiarch robes, I shouldnt have to settle for a light forest green with too much shine.

Have you tried Veridium Venom as a darker green, @Earrindo?
Also, you really should be using Legate Black to test dying items black.
Coldharbour Ash Black has more of a brownish tint on most gear.
Unfortunately, this seems to be becoming the standard. Most of the newer styles refuse to take color properly, yet its something they've never fixed on any armor.Taleof2Cities wrote: »The problem isnt that the new styles dont dye period, the problem is that even the darkest, most saturated dyes are washed out to a pastel, mirror finish version of itself.

Coldharbor is pure black, Legate is a little blue and notably lighter. The only armor where what you're saying is true on is Dark brotherhood, because it has a reddish tint that shows through everything (the blue in legate helps cancel it out).
