Which class would you replace?

I wouldn't really remove anything, I would add to the existing classes.

That being said, I have two wardens (mag and stam) and I found them annoying to play, I wasn't a fan of their skills or their nature connection and the way it was implemented. Couldn't get either to max level so far. Wouldn't mind a Necromancer class if ESO lore allows for it, and if it couldn't be added as a sixth class, then I guess I'd prefer it instead of the Warden.

I don't think any of them need to be dropped. Although if I was going to drop a class, I'd drop them all and go freestyle.

Out of all of them, Warden needs the most love from the devs.

This is a stupid poll. Instead of trying to reduce the classes, you should be advocating for NEW classes and races.

It's moot in the same way that "Which ESO character would you date in real life is?" is a moot poll (actually less so, because it's actually possible to remove a class from a game). I wonder if a waifu/husbando poll would get as many "none" and "moot" responses And in fact, it's also less moot because it shows player sentiment about classes and offers a chance to vent/share why they choose.

There isn't a "none" option in the actual poll because it's a "if you were forced to choose one" scenario. What people put in the comment is their choice

Say you were hanging on a pool of acid and you have to choose one or the other, or you will be dropped in said pool of acid.

You choose none and you're dropped in the pool of acid, here's your none option.

Or you can choose to all of them, here's a 4th.

It may be less desirable than the others, but there is.

The "forced to choose one" scenario doesn't take into account human ingenuity, and the fact that there is always a third, fourth, fifth and sixth option.

That's the reason people don't like it, because it robs them of pretty obvious choice: that of removing no class at all. By not giving that option you're creating an echo chamber: "Assuming you agree with me in removing a class, which class, hypothetically, would you remove", but the assumption is incorrect, I don't agree with you, I'm of the opinion that no class should be removed, for the reasons I listed in my previous reply:

I'm sharing with you my opinion of why it would be a bad decision (and therefore I do not wish for it) to remove any class, regardless of how bad they are(TM).

So,

1. If you don't want to vote/don't like the poll, don't. If you wish this thread was something else, by all means start that thread you want to see

2. I am not advocating for anything here.

3. If you've never done a "If you had to choose..." game before, great, but please stop explaining why logically or practically X, Y, Z is not this or that.

In such games you only have the options you are given, which is what makes it so interesting. The 100+ players who've voted so far don't all actually *want* a class removed, they thought about which one they play the least, like the least, or were most willing to give up if they had to. Or, you know, they randomly picked something because it's just a forum poll and they were bored. It all works.

What ESO needs is not more or less classes, but classes which are more unique than they are. As it is now, you can basically do all with every class in a pretty similar way, just with different skills and different optical effects. So why the heck have classes than at all, if those are just another shade of the same color?

Another thing, which bothers me and what was never the case in a TES game is, that one is limited to just 2x5 skills to choose from an put those on the bar. Why have that many if they aren't available when one needs them?- In other MMOs, where there are skill bars at all, those are just for arrangement of your personal skill sets, not to limit them in their usefullness.

Especially in classes where one has pets to control or where a basic set of skills is required on both bars in order to play this class in a class-like manner, this limitation is pretty annoying, because it does not let room for other skills - so why have them then at all?- ESO makes it so hard to play certain roles, simply because there is a lack of slots on the skill bars.

So long story short - I do not like classes at all - if I "would be forced to" and could do it, I would get rid of the class system in a whole, give people as many bars as they want to use any skill they have, if they want to. ESO's limitation makes no sense.

Warden for sure...its just meh. Several strikes against it...

1. Its a pet class. I hate pets in general, but the only real pet(the bear) is absolutely worthless in an ultimate slot.
2. All its DPS abilities are delayed. Some people may like fancy animations...I myself like to hit a button and have an ability fire, not hit a button and 3 seconds later something happen.
3. The healing and tanking abilities feel clunky. All the heals and the tanking abilities(like frozen gate) feel clunky and slow.

The warden is just not much fun to play, outside of a few useful abilities the whole class is awful, my least favorite to play(and thats saying a lot...I hate to play nightblades as well)

no remove, no add. Just revamp the class system into blank races and you pick your own way, this way is out of discussion the class change.

You know, I think someone tried a "Do you want XXX to be let go from ZOS?" poll once. Got locked and deleted super-fast, as it should have.

Players can disagree with the devs or other staff at Zeni/Bethesda (and clearly with each other) on the direction and content of the game, but the leash can be short for what are perceived as personal attacks and snapped like a whip. Just in case anyone reading this thread gets the idea to actually make such a poll
