I understand your game but I am not playing it.

I enjoy all the current classes and am perfectly fine with never adding another one especially if it means removing one of the ones we have. So to me, your exercise is MOOT.

Because you did not provide a none option I felt it my duty to represent that side.

Sure, but why post if you don't want to play? And why make a declaration about how you enjoy all classes if you know it's just a game? Why capitalize MOOT like it's so vital to show how pointless you think the thread is?

Fair enough, but do you mean DKs are awful to play or to play against?

Wardens are OK I guess but I was a bit underwhelmed with magicka Warden as anything but a PvE healer. Cool themes and animations to be sure.

I voted Warden because that class seems to interest me the least. But I think it would be more plausible to add a new class as some people love the Warden.

Like the others, I don't think dropping is really a good idea, but I super don't care for wardens.

Tried them, but they really don't fit my play style at all, too clunky. Although I'm pretty much all about DPS, so I dunno, maybe they can tank/heal decent, but it's not for me.

None, i would add a priest/cleric class and make it awesome at healing and ditch all the self heal nonsense. This isnt a SP game we dont need to be jack of all trades.

From a lore perspective, I'd ditch the Templar. The Templar's class skills seem to revolve around channeling the power of the Aedra, but the Aedra don't interact with mortals beyond very specific circumstances (the Amulet of Kings used by the Vestige and Martin Septim, etc.).

I wouldn't want them to replace a class, just change warden so that the ice skill line isn't a complete waste for everyone except tanks.
I'd love for them to add another class, though.

I don't believe in removing current classes so that another class can be added.

I would much rather them tweak independent skills to make underperforming skills viable again.

But really unless something is completely overpowered or exploitable there isn't any reason to remove something that already exists.

Games should be additive, not subtractive.

I am really surprised by how unpopular Warden seems to be - at least in this poll. Seen from the TES lore Bosmer had the talent to command animals from the very start - just not in ESO. So a class like Warden makes sense and fills a gap, which the system in ESO had. Another gap like this is the lack of potent illusion magic, where Altmer were highly talented in lore-wise.

ESO has a lot of those gaps in the system - unfortunately. And Warden fills at least one, or tries to.

Maybe should have added a "Other/None" option...

I wouldn't want any of the existing classes to go, as I find the fun in all of them (of course some of them more than others).

It shouldn't be a factor/possibility (even theoretically) to have to replace/remove existing content in order to get something new.

Once I did a mistake and removed my fully horse trained orc templar to make room for a new alt. I regret it for this day. Then I realised I could pay more and add another alts, but it was too late. So no, no class will be removed, because it's no point in doing this. Only adding new content has sense in any game.

The discussion is highly hypothetical, but also moot.

Once they introduced a bit of major content, like a class, they simply can't remove it.

Some of the features of that class may be adjusted, some other reworked, but you can't remove the class.

For some simple reasons, really: there are people playing it, so there are records in the characters database that you can't orphan, and you can't just delete them beforehand, or you will preclude some players from accessing the content.

In one case is a bad structural decision, in the other is a bad marketing decision.

Either way, it's a bad decision.

A better poll question would be which class needs the most revision.

I would not remove any of them. I do feel the Warden class needs changes to some of the Morrowind themed skills to make them less/not Morrowind themed.

Warden is too region exclusive. None of the other class are as much like that.

It's moot in the same way that "Which ESO character would you date in real life is?" is a moot poll (actually less so, because it's actually possible to remove a class from a game). I wonder if a waifu/husbando poll would get as many "none" and "moot" responses

And in fact, it's also less moot because it shows player sentiment about classes and offers a chance to vent/share why they choose.

There isn't a "none" option in the actual poll because it's a "if you were forced to choose one" scenario. What people put in the comment is their choice
