[Bug?] Vestment of Olorime AoE invisible to other team members

Hello,

When testing the new healing set on the PTS, I discovered that the ground AoE is invisible to my team members.
Below you can see my screen:
(I am stood in the centre of the AoE)
Screenshot_20180430_212836.png?width=1202&height=677

and for comparison, this is the screenshot from my team mate:

unknown.png?width=1202&height=676

If this is a bug I hope to make ZOS aware. However if this was intended, I would like to suggest that the aoe is made visible (or at least give people the option to know where it is) because in fights where groups are not stacked on top of each other, it is going to make it awkward to explain precisely to DDs where they need to stand to gain the buff. In complex fights such as vAS HM, or even the new Cloudrest trial, for example, having the healers yelling over the raid leader where the AoE is placed is going to add another level of chaos and confusion.

Thanks for reading, and I really appreciate ZOS taking the effort to re-work this set, it's nice to have something to farm from the veteran trial now :)

Is it getting culled by the Show Additional Ally Effects setting?

It really SHOULDN'T be, but try checking.

We tested this aswell. With additional effects on, it's still not visible!

Hey, thanks for asking, we just double checked those settings to make sure that wasn't causing it to be invisible and switching on 'show additional ally effects' did not fix the problem, it is still invisible to group members.

Not the main OP issue but... That area is so small!

Can confirm. I tried this as well and my friend could not see the effect but I could.

He tried turning on ally status effects and messing with particle limits.

While I believe it's a bug, when fixed it's very important for this effect not to be hidden by the ally status effects option. Allies may be unwilling or not know that they cannot see this effect with ally effects hidden, making them unable to see the circle and jump in it for the buff. Having to turn on all ally effects would cause significant performance drops in trials.

Boosting this. Still can't be seen. Also can't be proc'd unless already in combat, which is nice, but that means my opening blockade doesn't proc it, which is less nice.

Even if they could see it, the area is so small, needs to be at least 10 meters, it looks like 5 right now. and provides the same 258 bufff that spc provides now, so what is the point of this set? Maybe to provide Regen focused set verses the max stat version of spc. I don't know if I would ever use this set though.

I was testing with this set today, it would proc off my wall of elements, since it's ANY ground based ability, though funnily, I could also get it to proc via Force Pulse at the location it hits the target, lol.

The reason I believe this set is going to be better than SPC is because it lasts for 30 seconds, even once players have left the AoE. This means you can drop the circle in the group, everyone gets the buff and then they have the major courage buff for the next 30 seconds without the healer having to overheal everyone to proc the buff, as you need to do with SPC.

I'm going to test it in a raid environment later though, so I can give feedback on how it works (even if it is invisible to my team).

Either currently has a misleading tooltip or it's bugged.

I'm personally not sold on the set cause it can drop at your feet as heal orbs are considered AoE heals, same with prayer and purify, I think you can only control it with healing springs.

The set looks nice, but yea looks pretty niche. If they do something where you can control it a lot easier then that's way better

Thanks for the testing. When I tested it yesterday it basically did nothing at all. Happy to see it works for some players, even if it is bugged.

Hey no worries, one reason why it may not have worked for you is because it needs you to be in combat before it will spawn the circle. If you were in combat and it still didn't work, idk, that sounds like a bug :D

Through our testing, even without them being able to see the AoE, it had a better uptime than SPC. Realize that this set can provide 100% uptime to the buff where SPC is just about 60% for most things. It is a better SPC sadly. I hope they address this.

    1. Do you retain the greater courage buff even after leaving the circle?

    2. I can imagine highly mobile situations where the circle would just be too awkward with people having to rush to the circle, grab the buff and then redeploy at their respective positions to "resume" making damage. Isn't the damage loss through movement rather counterproductive?

    1. Yes you do.

    2. Circle lasts for 10 seconds, and can be placed every 10 seconds, so it is always there. Also, the circle goes down in the 'center' of the AoE that spawned it. So say on vAS+2, I would cast one circle for exit side, next for entrance, next for middle, and repeat.

This set is so powerful it only requires 1 healer to be using it and people are getting 90% uptimes in Cloudrest (a fight you could argue is with a lot of movement). And this is with it not even being visible.

It out performs SPC so easily, this will allow healers to have so much more flexibility with what sets they use, as only one healer will need to use this set for major courage.

Sounds like Olorime/Jorvuld's Guidance to me, making the Buff last even longer.

Sadly it does not currently work with Jorvuld's. But Jorv is still worth for warhorn uptime.

Double posting like a boss: I really hope they do something to bring SPC up to par. I hate seeing sets fully go the way of the dodo. That said, I expect to see some Olorime/Mending and IA(or Worm)/Jorv as go to setups.

it really ought to have a 6 person cap. thank you for testing it.
