is the invigorating trait just as useless as prosperous?

You'll be cursing when it gets buffed.

This is why I kept dozens of what used to be useless vMA drops on a mule. I keep monster sets in all traits, but the burden is too great to do that for all worthwhile bop sets.

just because you thought prosperous was useless doesnt mean it was. and since your poll is based on that flawed premise, other is the only answer.

Quite useless. Should be the same as a full divines, split three ways with 7 pieces. So somewhere around 110 each, minimum. Hopefully they correct it at some point.

    Invigorating IS completely useless.

Not one single half decent player at any level would even think about running with this trait over any of the others. The recovery boost is WAY too small.

At least Training is good for levelling and Prosperous was useful for gold farming!

Except prosperous was useless, ZoS even said so themselves in the patch notes explaining their reasoning for the change except not quite in those words.

Basically you could make more gold by farming trash mobs wearing impenetrable gear due to its resistance to taking wear and tear (Saving on repair costs), than the amount of extra gold you would get from those same mobs wearing prosperous gear.

I think it's safe to say it's useless when another trait does it's job better while also having a secondary function.

Doesn't it also count as base regeneration? So all those % increases from things like racial passives will actually boost it even more

IIRC prosperous was actually worse at what it did - increase gold net from kills - than other traits were - impen - due to repair costs.

At least the new invig does do something - even if thats not huge as it stands. no other trait gives you incr recovery higher than invig, does it?

Divines with a mundus is better recovery.

I dissagree. U get 17,85 rec (only one) per divinies with atro/serpent mundus and 11 rec (each one, so 11x3=33) without need to use regen mundus. With higher value it would be better than divinies in any situation, atm it's fine. Of course if u want to focus only on one regen, divinies would be better, but if u're interested at least in two of them u can get little advantage by using invigorating.

Compare this to prismatic enchants, if u want to focus only on 1 stat pure magicka/pure stamina would be better. But if u'd like to split stats a little it's more beneficial to use prismatics, cuz u get another 0,5 of normal enchant.

It's not the "Hurr durr", best trait, let's run it everybody. It's rather for adjusting builds and make diversity.

Main problem with invigorating is that players think of it as 7 regen (because they only care about one stat) but ZoS devs think of it as 21 (because it does give 7 in all three attributes).
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

It is definitely less useless than it was before (personally i think that title belongs to Training now).
All in all invigorating gives + 11 to magicka/health/stamina recovery - when upgraded to gold quality.

88 when you use 7 pcs of armour + shield. That is too little in my opinion. It should give at lest 129 when fully upgraded to gold.
It is far better to use divines + Atronach / Steed/ serpent / mundus.
But still it is better than Training.... ;)

Better than training? Are you insane? Training gear makes leveling a toon so much easier. Training is probably the top 3 most useful traits.

Sorry, I Just assumed we are talking about end-game PvE / PvP content.

And yes - Training is good for levelling up faster. However the moment you reach level 50 and unlock CP (assuming you are levelling second character and you already maxed out CP) You instantly get those CP - and training trait becomes useless since it only makes CP to gain faster. But if you already reached the CP cap (660 currently) then it is like you had armour with no trait at all.

I'd use invigorating on any nonvamp PvP build where I would otherwise be using divines+regen mundus.

Problem is, I can't think of a single nonvamp PvP build that I like divines+regen mundus on. So I don't think it's actually that terrible a trait, just terrible for the current meta.

Training (if golded) gives you 11% more experience from kills. It is only good if you are levelling new character. When you hit level 50 & CP 160 - Training suddenly becomes useless.
From an end-game perspective training trait simply provides no bonus to your stats.

Yeah it's really just a numbers issue. But it overfocuses too. I'm not sure where ZoS thought it would be applicable. I guess for hybrids in pvp but I don't think 11 points in recovery was what people were missing...

It’s useless, but at least better than Prosperous lol.

Apparently since armor repair is tied to XP gain in combat, it was more profitable to farm enemies for gold using Sturdy equipment instead of Prosperous

Invigorating isn't that bad. Sure, it doesn't give a lot of stats, but no other armor trait does. For PvP, the main reason it's not used much is Impenetrable. In PvE, well, how many non-tanks are running around in Prismatic enchants?
Prosperous on the other hand was simply bad, not even really worth it for farming mobs (especially in a PvP area). And as of this thread, apparently not everyone is aware of how their mechanics worked even now.

As I said, the set is niche, but if you pair it with another recovery one you can use it very effectively. You pick the one that buffs the resource pool you need the most, but if you pack something into the other as well it will help you. For example I have a Sorcerer tank build using 5 Willow's Path 5 Amber Plasm, 3 magicka recovery glyphs, max stat food health + magicka and Lord mundus. Probably not the best example since it's mixed Infused and Divines with prismatic enchants. But it does have very high recovery on both stat pools: 2.4K magicka 1.2K stamina ~27K health and 40.5K magicka (~20K hardened ward) with 29K spell and 27K physical resistance. The hardest dungeon I've tanked with it was Falkreath Hold HM. Having either the ice staff on back bar and 1H+S front bar lets me switch between pools, and they replenish pretty fast. This way I can keep blocking for long periods. And also this particular build is getting a big buff next patch when the staff will count for 2 pieces and have the 5p bonus active on both bars.

When prosperous was a trait I knew someone was actually using it. While doing quest or killing mobs( not in dungeon or trial) they we're using it to get fast gold's. But currently i see no one using invigorating. So in my opinion prosperous was a far more better trait than invigorating.

I will agree its not terrible...but for example, I use a Tank/DPS hybrid I use for both PVE and PvP that uses 7 infused/hekeijo for pure stat numbers...there is NO WAY I would ever use invigorating for this....by doing so I would give up raw damage for a worthless amount of regen, because after all, base stats affect your damage...and in a hybrid build like that...every stat point counts....therefore invigorating is virtually wortless for ANY DPS build, hybrid or not, it would be good for tanks, and thats about it.
