Read your own post. You sound awful negative yourself rather than helpful in explaining how it could have been better or how we could try to prevent it in the future.

Yes, they likely didn't phrase it well, but that doesn't mean that we can always do that. And at the time, maybe they didn't know anything was ever coming back(like limited time houses that still haven't come back with no future plans) which would have made it impossible to put a positive spin on it.

You saw negativity and reacted to it with negativity likely because that is what you wanted to see, while the thread starter's story was just being informative to the person which is neither positive nor negative.

i wasnt trying to be positive. the OP came on here and blamed the game for causing someone to leave, when it wasnt the game, it was the OPs interaction with the player that was the cause. I'll blame ZOS when ZOS are to blame, but this ones entirely on the OP if their post is an accurate representation of what happened.

They 'likely' didnt phrase it well? try definitely. Also, I'm not here to educate you to repeat what i would have said. It needs to come from you, or them, or whoever. If hatred of this game is all you (generally speaking) can come up with when talking to noobs, you shouldnt be here. or at least not interacting with people. Becuase either way the game is making you miserable. or more miserable. Please dont spread it.

Ah. So you don't have a better way, and you're just knee jerk defending their business practices without actually giving us a valid reason why. Or offering me an alternative I could have used that didn't involve lying. Check. Got it.

And lol, no, you didn't come in here to be positive. You came in here to sling mud and offer no compelling arguments of your own. As you appear to do in most threads like this.

I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, that what you intended was to ask the OP to consider another perspective; another possible explanation for the player's reaction, or perhaps the possibility that there are other factors to consider outside of the one that the OP highlights.

I in fact offered that perspective in my original post. As I said, it's entirely possible they had to leave. But it didn't strike me that way.

Also, I was as gentle as possible without lying, because I was specifically trying to avoid scaring them away. I even refrained from mentioning the loot crate gambling thing, and just said that mounts sometimes come back into the Crown Store. Which is technically true, albeit unlikely, but still. I tried to give that player as much hope as possible, given the circumstances.

Sadly myself and a bunch of housemates who recently rejoined the game are in the bummed pit of finding out a list of things we missed while we couldn't play and had more important things to handle in life. We came back to the game and seeing as we generally play as a group there are at least 5 of us who re-joined and were thinking about subbing to the game to build up some crown points.

Though the excitement to do so was dropped off after seeing all the exclusive items we missed out on and knowing the odds of them returning to the shop itself are slim to none and none of us support rng boxes (nor have the funds to do so just for one or two items..)

I personally hate that they shove limited time things in the loot crates. Sure you can have them be limited and just rotate or bring them back once in a blue moon or something. But surely they can't make that much extra on the rng boxes compared to just out right selling a 2000 plus crown mount or whatever you are buying.

Also most of the mounts, outfits and whatever other items we have bought over the years we bought because we liked them and not because they were some limited time offer. Like I try to get all the guar mounts (minus the elemental ones cause I don't personally like them) needless to say over being absent from the game I'm sitting here really debating if I want to really focus this game as my main mmo or not. Sure mounts and pets may not be a big deal to most but some people that is what they enjoy bout games. It already annoys me that this game has a very small select few mounts and pets to collect in game outside of the shop as it is..but then for me to be unable to spend money on the ones I did want?

Seems silly that they don't want people to give them money if they are willing to pay for things.. maybe it's just me? Sure some can argue that items do get put back in the shop sometimes or mroe commonly they are added to a crown crate.. but I can't really count that as a chance to get the item as it's rng and who knows how much you'd have t spend just to get the gems to out right get the thing you may have been after. Maybe I was spoiled by playing WoW in that they did remove some things but they were very few and far between and after being in the game (not a cash shop) for a few years with the ability to earn said items.

So you're happy to offer criticism, but not constructive criticism. Gotcha.

nice way to take part of what i said and use it totally out of context. great job!
