Is this really a "closed" beta test where participation is controlled, or is it an open public test? Someone published his personal participation code, inviting others to use it:

The codes were preapplied to testers' accounts, so they're not usable by anyone.

It's not like everyone can access the beta test with a single code. If that were the case it would be effectively an open beta. However that is not the case. The beta is, in fact, closed.

You are only in the Beta if you go an invite. The invite could be from last year with Morrowind or it could be this year.

And, as above, the codes were applied to your account. No farming codes from third party sites.

And, I am sure you know, do not reveal any details, or even an overview, of the Zone Main Quest.

Hi @VulcanTourist,

As others have stated, the participation code is unique for each account and already applied to the account when they are sent out. There is no way to share that code with multiple people.

This is, truthfully, a Closed Beta only open to those that are invited.

If it's the same as the Morrowind one, the code is already used. ZOS unlock the access with the code before sending it.

it's a growing group of people as quite some peeps got access to morrowind beta, so now it's a bigger group for summerset.
only a handfull of the peeps who get them use it so they need to ensure a good spread of testers.
