This is by far the best in-game event... I'll be missing it already.

Anyone glad an in game event is over from the 'Pressure' or 'burnout' has some serious life priority problems.

It's a game. To unwind / chill. Sweet lord!!!

That's only your opinion. You can do a lot of things to unwind/chill. Like painting or writing novels, or programming, or DIY stuff, riding a bicycle, hiking. But even though it is a hobby, you can feel pressure and be burnt out while doing so. I mean, there are a lot of people who enjoy their hobbies but also try to accomplish something greater, not just "chill out".

The game is just another hobby

Oh I get you, @NoTimeToWait each to their own. All my real hobbies probably seem quite strenuous to others as I'm into sport etc but I enjoy that.

But this talk of exhaustion / burn out / glad its over. I don't really understand. Surely a game should be fun? Words above are the opposite to me, especially in an event that rewards you for doing regular stuff like writs.

Other events i get , the weird special quests. I don't do them.as they aren't fun for me. This event is epic as I could do 6 writs like normal and profit.

The dudes doing 100 boxes a day no wonder they are fed up! To what end too. Cause and affect I guess.

Same here. Doing all the writs got tedious that's for sure...but seeing that purple drop in the box...priceless.

True. Sports is probably the best example. It should be fun. And it is fun. But at some point with certain dedication doing sports becomes more arduous. You still have fun, but you also need to strain yourself at certain times to achieve something. Even though it is only a hobby.

Maybe the games are meant to be fun. But for some people it is also a hobby, which requires some accomplishments. Thus, people strain themselves to reach their goals and vent somewhere else (in a pub, for example).

Actually doing writs gives very low experience compared to simply deconstructing high level glyphs or gear.
Believe me, I know, but even 1 pt is better than 0 for this ungodly leveling nightmare.

The worst part is, in my absence, it seems ZoS changed it that I can't even gain exp from my own enchants anymore. Imagine the horror I went through crafting 100+ glyphs only to see nothing come from it.

Thankfully, I managed to sell the rest to earn something back.

I am no fan of this new enchanting leveling system. I'd rather it go back the way it was (but not to the original - that was far worst the worst!).

This is why I never participate in anniversary events. They burn you out from the game. I just play as I normally would, completely ignoring the event.

Also glad its over, a bit too long. Had the motif not been such a painfully low drop rate the event would have been less torturous. Cost me a fair bit to complete the outfit but thankfully have a few duplicates to trade to offset the cost.

They should consider changing it next year to per account vs per character.

Another interesting twist would be one box per one type of daily during the event. This would get people doing some things they perhaps wouldn't normally do in order to get rewards, instead of the writ and repeat that it turned into for most.

Now everyone will be busy with the mountain of surveys they collects over the last few weeks. The cities will be empty but the wilderness should be crowded.

    Finally getting some sleeppzzzzzzzzz ....

Pfft. I have over 200 surveys from all the writs I did over the events, on top of 130 I had before the event started. And since we don't have survey hirelings, and paying someone else to play my account to do them for me is against the TOS, guess what I'll be doing all this week.

I think they are a good break from our usual in-game routines. I mean, I didn't do dungeons--at least not to farm boxes--and I stayed out of Cyro. I did the dailies i found easiest and least taxing time-wise so if I was feeling bored, I could finish them off quickly and go play another game. Honestly, I was feeling pretty burnt out with the game prior to the event and was rather sour with some of ZOS' BS (still am, but at that point it was impacting my ability to enjoy the game). So indulging in the event helped me enjoy the game again.

PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

It depends how you classify the event as being successful.

If I look at in terms of collecting the Worm Cult motif, in spite of grinding dailies practically every day for 2 weeks I still didn't get the complete set. I still don't know if I have enough duplicates to trade for the pieces I am missing. I got clubs 3 times but no swords, axes or staffs.

In terms of the experience boost. Over the past 2 weeks I levelled up 9 alts to Champion Rank. I now have nothing but 15 champion rank players. This success has exceeded by expectations. It was satisfying to deconstruct all my non CP 160 items or sell them off. Cleared up a lot of inventory / bank space.

On the down side I now have 9 characters all needing CP 160 sets. I could craft them but it could burn through all my raw material and tempters and I have to decide what sets they should wear. I don't need to equip all 9 of them at once though.

I am just glad to be done with Cyrodiil dailies and writs. It gets so repetitive.
