I like that bound armor and its morphs are finally looked at, and I also like the idea of providing block mitigation. But why the hell would I want to spend 3,5k magicka to get lousy 20% block mitigation for as little as 3 seconds? The passives of the skill are bound to the slotted bar and okayish (11% more LA damage being waaaay stronger than just minor resistances), but spending that much resources for so little mitigation seems super inefficient.
Why not provide sorcs with a defensive mechanic that loosens them from being stuck in spamming shields? I think the active component needs to be way stronger or cost way less resources.
Potential Changes:
- increase mitiagation duration to 10 seconds and add block cost reduction
- add further defensive buffs, such as minor/major protection
- add a heal
- add SOMETHING
Need to be careful though so shield spamming sorcs can't abuse defenses to make their shields more effective.
Happy to hear thoughts and ideas!
