It looks like in a lot of those fights you could really benefit from having beam if you are able to find a spot for it. Maybe even a bigger stam pool too (or is this no cp?). Nice video though! I am happy to find that there are indeed people who play at lower fps than me.
Oh and nerf sorcs.
That fight with the two sorcs is why I don't play magplar aymore. If you aren't built for max dmg 1 shot, then sorcs are near impossible to kill unless they are really bad. And they are just one example of things that are just too hard to kill on our class whilst solo'ing.

Lightning blockade + Overwhelming off balance builds are meta for magicka dueling right now -- they're the only builds which can compete with some of the top stam classes -- and magplar has been showing up well with that style build. Nice to see it in open world too. That's where the real challenge lies imo, especially for magplar. Good stuff dude.
Idk i am full light which does not include impreg or fort brass. Killing targets is my current priority. Running an unkillable templar now is fairly easy and very rewarding and that will increase with the next patch.

I actually see very few wear overwhelming, only came across two personally. I’m more likely to see wizards, trans, earthgore, reactive etc. (in terms of noticeable sets) and typically the magplar is in heavy. The only time I even see/hear talks of ow is on the forums. A lot of people don’t know about this set yet, that or it’s simply overshadowed by the healbot meta. More likely to come across a Templar wearing a utility/mitigation set plus a sustain set.
@Minno , will you be going ice staff and 2h with the next update? Seems pretty strong with access to forward momentum and elemental drain. Let’s you run speedpots for a fast magplar too.

Forward momentum won't save you from immobilze poisons which are considered a status effect. So I stopped running 2h. Swapped to dual weld with ice staff, and just dealt with using purge/dodge roll to escape. If you can get dodge roll cost low enough, that should be enough to run, considering forward momentum only gives you immunity while dodge roll will negate countless direct attacks to help make you tankier.
2pc staff/2h will be nice, but I don't think you'll be able to have two sets at once like dual weld let's you have. So it's tough to say without diving into pts and seeing what available.

Current LA changes and the clunkyness of our class suggests that destro staff is the way

Force pulse or masters destro+reach as a spammable look much more appealing since they’re more reliable than sweeps and the extra light attacks closed the damage gap with good weaving
