Title says it all. I don't have PTS access.

Can you talk about Abyssal Geysirs and how they work etc.

Are they at least a little bit of fun?

Same basic idea, a cultist comes out and starts the thing. They have a larger area than dolmens and new enemies. A bit harder, partially because there are no regen sigils.

How long do they take? And do they have a special environment or ritual place like the dolmen with those anchors etc. or are they popping up randomly around the island?

It’s a fixed location a lot like a dolmen. In fact, the map icon is the same as dolmens.

So, on the plus side, the rewards and XP are good ... and there’s a good variety of monsters to fight.

On the minus side, it didn’t seem like a unique event to me. Not going as far as saying it’s another dolmen. Other players might have that view, however.

Solo on an outdated pvp mDK build, it took me probably 10 minutes, on a PVE build would be less for sure. It's a set spot with a map icon, and sends up a bright pink pillar when it starts.

It'd call it a slightly harder dolmen.

I liked them. Enemies come in waves instead of single spawns..

Also sometimes you get a named boss in the end, which has about the health of one of the regular world bosses (from the base zones, 1.5 million health or so). Not all that hard, but a nice change from the dolmens

They're dolmens where mobs in a wave spawn all at once instead of gradually. They're not particularly challenging but there's more AoEs that'll hit you.

So far nothing worth being excited about.

Slightly harder dolmen is an understatement honestly.

While I didn't do many of the Geysirs, the few bosses that I saw hit much harder than the ones from Dolmen. Maybe I was "unlucky" and got the named ones but the Wamasu for instance had 2mil hp and hits pretty damn hard.

Of course they are intended to be cleared by a group of people so its actually fine but definitely not something every player can solo.

Seemed like the waves hit harder and had more AOE (red circles). Was pretty fun. I started one solo and some players came along and helped me when they heard my char screaming.

It is basically a reskinned Dolmen. However, I found that the "OH WOW" factor is smaller than compared to a Dolmen. Mostly because of the animations and sound effects, which are worse compared to a dolmen, in my opinion.

I made a short video showcasing a Abyssal Geyser.

Yes, most of the named bosses are pretty easy to beat. You can beat them more or less like how you do dps dummy (just slot some selfheal). So far I've encountered two more challenging ones though: Wamasu and Haj Mota bosses. Haj Mota is about on par with regular world bosses and Wamasu one is probably harder than any world boss to solo atm.

I took me good 5 attempts to figure out the strategy and beat the Wamasu boss.

re-skinned Dolmens that are incredibly easy...

Is there no system which increases difficulty based on the amount of players present? If not it's something they should consider.

took me less than 5 min. to solo it. It was okay. I'll have to make a game out of it by continually trying to beat my best time.

When there's no named boss it's stupid easy, but when there is a named boss it can get pretty tough depending on which one you encounter. That lightning Wamasu for instance is a pretty tough contender. I hope they never nerf him. It's nice to be able to die to something for once in PvE.

I'm speaking from a solo perspective though.

There are 6 geysers in total and they seem to be up pretty much all the time. There are 10 named bosses at the geysers and you get Abyssal Champion title when you beat all of them:

    fTwp1Ur.png

Muustikar Wave-Eater is the hardest of them. From my experience it is harder to beat than any of the live server world bosses atm. The Gryphon Twin bosses at PTS seems to be even more difficult.

I stumbled over one last night. Looked like someone else whiped shortly before i got there, cause there was only a 1,8m hp lurcher boss there.
Had the normal lurcher attack pattern, only the ground dot thing was a wind-up watersplash attack (blockable).
Took as long as the nursery boss in wrothgar. He didnt drop anything special, just a soulgem and a green nonset shoulder. I also didnt spot a chest or anything.

Than i found some worldboss which had 4,5m hp. It didnt feel really difficult, tho i had no clue what his mechanics r supposed to be (he had a shield and a ton of funny orbs doing weird things). Standard raiding protocol "run around like a headless chicken, scream like a little girl and mash random buttons" did work perfectly fine. Took very long tho. Seemed to be a "try not to step in red for 15 minutes" challenge.

Those could be fun challenges, in case u manage to find one alone. I guess atleast in the first couple month they'll be zergrushed and die in under 10 secs.
Would be cool if the amount of present players would increase their health or sth and not the number of adds. Stacked AoEs dont care how much mobs they kill per second.

The Unnamed bosses are far easier than dolmens, but the Named ones that I have come across hit much harder than world bosses in the base game, and all have one shot mechanics.

It wasn't until I made an ingame bug report that I realized it said "Abyssal Geyser" and not "Abysmal Geyser".

Haven't seen any one-shot me on my light armor Templar. When I see the red, I block. I did two with my brother and he did die instantly while standing in the red, but did not when he blocked. Because of that, I think you can block the one shot, but if you don't you die. Unless that's not intended...

My experience has been that they are a bit buggy. I've completed some of these geysers solo with no boss spawning (despite the game indicating one would, it showed up and immediately vanished) and no loot sometimes. The geysers did show up as "completed" on the map however...

I soloed a geyser and got the named boss "Sheefar of the Depths" with 1.8m health. It never attacked me during the fight. It just followed me around.

Pretty easy to solo, unless you get the Muustikar boss. I watched that one kill at least 20 other players after he one-shotted me 3 or 4 times. I was in 7 med all gold 1H+S with fairly low resistances (around 15-20k) and it has a ranged lightning attack that was hitting me through block for 95% of my Health followed by an execute that killed me every time. Definitely at least WB difficilty , maybe even delve boss.

A bit buggy. But overall, they feel easy, just like the majority of the overland content on Summerset Isle. Haven't been able to try and solo one yet because other people kept running in.

The Wave-Eater boss (some wamasu) is one shotting entire groups with unavoidable 14k+ ticks of up to three times in less than a second with no telegraph. I clearly hope that's not intended.
