• NA megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 8:00 UTC (4:00AM EDT) - 14:00 UTC (10:00AM EDT)
We will be performing maintenance for patch 11.2.1 on the PTS on Monday at 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC).

Content Write Error - Cannot download PTS

    @ZOS_GinaBruno this is an issue for people downloading the PTS for the first time, not people patching the PTS. Talk to your team and have someone test it with your production launcher. It no worky.

    Can't test anything right now outside of the launcher erroring at downloads.

    Just a pint of clarification.....as it’s not my first time.
    Maybe the comment should read, first PTS install on a new machine???

    Same issue also. Had 2 gigs left to download and I got the content write error this Wednesday morning.

    It's kind of situational, but you will likely be prompted to repair, then it will pick up where it left off. Alternatively, you may also need to just cancel the download and restart.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno When ever i hit repair it never pick it up where it left it re-downloads the whole client, but when i open launcher it automatically verifies files and pick it where it left off so should i keep it that way without clicking "Repair" ?

    Sometimes it looks like it's re-downloading everything when it's actually just verifying existing files. That said, wait until the fix rolls out before you start repairing again. ;)

    I've been getting this issue myself though mine will download the maybe first 15000-20000mb at about 13mbps then crap out and sit show a download speed of 0.0kbps, while the total remaining download size keeps dropping so I've no idea whats going on. Anyone else seen this sort of thing before?

    Thank you Gina! I tried the download a few minutes ago and it very quickly got to 24% and then got the Content Write Failed error again. Trying a repair on the client currently, and then I'll try the download again. Hopefully the fix is rolling out soon!

    My connection's pretty slow, so I'll wait till we hear back from Gina again before I try. Ooh excited.

    Don't know what you guys are all moaning about. OK so you have good connections and it might be taking a few hours longer than you'd like.

    I have 12% downloaded in 24 hours, so you can work out how long that is going to take. Downside of living in rural areas I guess.

    So count yourselves lucky that it's in hours rather than a week.

    It's the fact that it's not actually downloading at all ...

    Not to mention the write errors... did you even read the post?

    I’d hope that they’d make some sort of announcement when the fix goes live rather than just a comment here, but yes, I’m doing the same thing
