Content Write Error - Cannot download PTS

Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that I've never downloaded the PTS before. I was very excited to beta, so I hope they get this straightened out soon.

I got it to download (despite cannot write errors). When you hit play crashes. Fatal error 12.

Same here. Content write failed on 24%. The funny thing it stopped at around 2.5GB, and when I returned it was showing 4.5GB to go. Every time I pause-resume the remaining value goes up by roughly 2GB and lowers the progress percentage, lol. Well, repair didn't help. Have to go and do Anniversary Boxes now instead of playing Summerset... Duh

The probelm is that the Download link for Z31 is broken. Until Zos fix that link so we can download Z31, there is no way to fix this issue it seems.

When you get the cannot write close the launcher and reopen it and EVENTUALLY it’ll download at reasonable speeds. HOWEVER, I get fatal error 12 and it crashes when I hit play. Just sucks any excitement for Summerset right out of me.

Now it’s downloading the WHOLE thing all over again.

I don’t even want to PLAY Morrowwind.

Yep, same problem, downloads to about 20 to 23 % and dies, been trying for three days, about to just give it up.

I left it downloading after all day and all night it was stuck at 18% for over 12 hours. first time as a beta as well. this isn't helping.

Annoyingly I wouldn't have this issue if I hadn't of gone crazy and done a fresh install on my pc >.< beginning to deeply regret that decision. Dying to play Summerset

I wasn't saying you shouldn't (in fact, you should).

I was just saying we shouldn't need to as it's such a simple fix.

To be fair, this shouldn't even be an issue. And if it is, they should have noticed it and fixed it by now. It's just a broken download link. It's not rocket science.

yeah, DO NOT try to repair it, I did after the crash and now it's on the download loop - download, repair, re-download, repair, re-downlad...
Also, my laptot nearly died in the process - it stopped working with pretty horrible clockwork sounds. Seems to work fine now, but yeah, doesn't feel good.

This is the first time I've tried to download PTS and it is seems to not want to download properly. I let it go all night and only lost progress. Getting failure to get http errors and failure to write errors and losing progress with each one. It just isn't worth it so I'm giving up on PTS. I'd rather be doing other things.

I found another thread from a few years ago where people were reporting this issue. It seems ZOS needed to fix things with a patch.

And another thread here, with the same outcome (ZOS needing to fix via patch).

So with that said, paging @ZOS_GinaBruno

I have the same issue and found that thread from 2016 where ZOS had to send out a fix.

well I just got "the tease" where it finishes and then CTD with error 12
It like trying to defeat Doeisha at level 15

I'm sure it will get fixed and most of this is down here now - on the bright side that last download was pretty quick - probably was missing half it's bits

BTW I clicked submit on the CTD not sure where that gets reported to but at least it is someplace.

I got about 20% downloaded then got the Content Write Error. Closed everything and trying to install PTS again. Going quicker than last time, about 15MBps
