I'm also seeing DNS return one IP instead of two for the PTS patcher. DNS is google's public, so something may have been cached as the TTL was 24h. For a CDN on a virtual environment such as Akamai's CDN, I'd suggest lowering the TTL to something like 6 hours since you guys are probably just running a PTR to Akamai's DNS name and it was resolving both.

My speed was fine now too (download completed in about 30 minutes), but I still got the content write error (trying to repair now to see if it fixes anything). Looking forward to seeing if it works for you.

Repair did nothing. Still getting content write error. That was the third time I tried downloading the file.

I have a 1 TB SSD with over 500 GB of space left. I've participated in most past PTS cycles, including Dragon Bones. Never had this issue.

I found another thread from a few years ago where people were reporting this issue. It seems ZOS needed to fix things with a patch.

And another thread here, with the same outcome (ZOS needing to fix via patch).

I've hit the content write error at 3.4GB left twice now. I can't do anything other than restart the download entirely. Here's to 3 nearly complete downloads in an hour... maybe I should call it quits instead of wasting all of these SSD writes for something that's obviously broken.

3 downloads for me as well, all ending in content write error at 2-3 GB left. I'm done for tonight. It's obviously an issue on ZOS' end.

ZOS needed to release a patch to fix both times.

So, a bit more information.

The patch is broken up into a multi part zip file. They're downloaded in order.

I'm able to get full parts of everything up to Z30. The download went down to 2.6ish GB left, and then reverted back to 4.4GB.

I'm assuming that Z30 is failing a checksum validation.

& then BT has a hic-up and my internet is out every 5 mins for the last 20

Not sure that this is ZOS CDN or BT (UK Monopoly supplier )

Just does not help when 2 seperate issues occur about the same time, but given that ZOS' CDN has always made dial-up look good, I'm guessing that is the cause...

I've been getting the same error. It went to 24%, gave me the Content Write Error, then started reverting the download, or so it seemed. Went from 24500ish GB left, back to 25, 26, 27, etc. I stopped the download and restarted and walked away, then looked at it after after a while...12%. Looking good. About an hour later, I was at 9%. At this point. I give up for now. Installing the PTS from scratch, if that makes a difference.

I tried installing from scratch and repairing. Neither worked.

I didn't get error message, but after 12 hours download, the progress was 7%... so I gave up.
(I have high-speed internet)

Left pc on overnight to download. 8 hours later was only 11% downloaded. I have 200mbp internet -.-

Now the speed is fine for me but consistently getting content write error at various points. Tried repairing three times. I give up

Yep, left mine overnight (about 11 hours) and only did about 12%. Got the content write error at 24%. Trying to repair now to see if anything changes.

Update: "Sucessfully" repaired without any errors. Crashes when trying to start. Another repair later, and another content write error

After repairing I was able to get to 92% or so, but the remaining file size was the same (2.6 GB) when I got the error. It seems the launcher doesn't report the proper download percentage since I had the same file size remaining when it failed at ~24%. At least that was my experience. Maybe yours will be different.

You have to click the little gear that says "game options" and select repair.

It didn't do anything for me (just showed the proper percentages, but still got the error). It's sonething else you can try if it fails again though.

Horrible download. Beta will probably be over by the time it completes. Keeps rolling back to around 12 %. Even when downloading I get about 3MB/s and various errors.

I'm on a fiber 75/75 network uncapped with hardwired gigabit network.

I see a partial for z30 as well as 31 & 32 31 and 32 happened last night 30 happened this morning

I got 3 times Error 210 (?) when trying to update PTS trough the launcher. The fix that worked for me: I downloaded patch manifest from ZOS's website and ran the launcher as system adminstrator.

I daresay ESO has one of the worst launchers I've had to deal with.

They should've fixed this back in 2016.

So for me what I did is cancel repair try fail, cancel repair - then it looked like 32 was the actual problem so I deleted the zip and the partial, did another repair. Looks like it is trying 32 again. Seems the progress we see is for each individual zip because most everything is already on disk but right now it says 6% (I assume of z32).

Pretty funky stuff - this is my first time with the PTS so I may sound like a loon to vets.
