Copy main game to become a PTS

I just got my beta key. Any way to do this? Obviously don't want to download the whole game again. Any legit way which won't break my main game? I'm using steam anyway.

✭✭Back in the day when the NA and EU clients were separate downloads it used to be possible to copy one to the other, pick the repair option, and the launcher would fix up the differences.
Disclaimer: I never tried this with the PTS and have no idea if it ever worked, much less still works.0 -

You may copy your main game from The Elder Scrolls Online folder to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS folder (both in Zenimax Online folder), then you should delete from the The Elder Scrolls Online PTS\depot folder the depot.version file; from the The Elder Scrolls Online PTS\game folder the game_player.version file; from the The Elder Scrolls Online PTS\vo_en folder the vo_en.version file. Then you should start the launcher and allow it to download the remaining (PTS) files (use Repair if needed for the PTS in launcher).I just got my beta key. Any way to do this? It works better if you can get the proper .version files instead of deleting those (from anyone who has a pts updated, those are very small files).
No sure if it will work for the steam version though.

That worked because EU and NA were basically identical, minus the default option for the server to connect to. That's unfortunately not the case comparing PTS to the live servers.
