@Voah I haven't tried Zaan yet. Did you jump on top of the stony orb pillar (discovered this by accident while having a laugh with some mates!) or is there a maximum range on the attack? I know it can be Magma Shelled through, which just this moment makes me wonder if it can be Shield Walled through with enough health...

We kept wiping cz I kept trying to revive everyone. One of the dps fell off the map and couldnt respawn. I eventually stopped rezzing because if I used my resources for buffing I could stay alive fine even with the shadows fearing etc... maybe there was a bit of luck involved but eventually got him.

Lot of cheers from the other 3 members. Felt great

Stormreev Neidir on vet wasnt as glamourous. I just found a spot tornadoes left me alone, and then buffed/healed with light/heavy attacks weaved in. That fight took FOREVER. I cant believe the group (that kept dying in a few seconds) stuck it out. I swear it must have taken me like.... 45 mins? Maybe more? Brutally boring hacking away with light/H attacks in between healing/shielding and keeping def capped.

They aren't hard, though, with enough CP and even a meh set of gear.

Vet Maelstrom.

I have a friend that would casually go into vet HelRa and VAA and solo the whirlybird and Atro Boss. I did come to help clear some ads and speed things up.

He was the only Sorc tank I know though.

First thing I do is solo it on Normal. Its always really easy that way, so if I can't do it then I won't bother with Vet.

I soloed the full Vet Scalecaller dungeon pretty soon after launch. It was my 4th complete of the dungeon lol.
The ogre twins boss was easy
Gargoyle boss was not too tough but very boring as Magicka..... I had to kite the whole time. As Stamina I could just tank the boss upfront.
Matriarch boss pretty easy. I found out midway through fighting this boss that if I was far enough from the adds, hey wouldn't CC me.
4th boss super annoying since 10mil health... and when I beat it I didn't even know the full menchincs so was a 15min+ fight ._.
5th boss pretty difficult. Zaan's beam is breakable in a few different ways. I would've beaten HM by now but there is the rng of stacking mechanics, so the very few attempts I did everything perfect, I still got rekt. Best attempt was 38%

Overall it was an easier dungeon to solo (for both Normal and Vet) than vCoS, vWGT, or vICP.

vCOS it seems the hardest fight would be Dranos....but maybe not, just a pure DPS test to kill the pining ads with AoEs at just the right moment...unless he pinned a pet instead

Vet Spindlecutch - it's a pattern, but if you mess up you die. (vMA can be more forgiving)

Imo: vet banished 1 2, Crucible, CoA 1 etc are fairly easy

Made it to final boss on WGT - it's doable I just wasn't able to

When a player is targeted, the beam will break if you are:
1. Encased in stone (if solo or last alive, this instakills you instead)
2. Encased in ice
3. Inside the geyser
4. Above Zaan

Various spots in the boss area are elevated and you can jump on them to cancel the beam hard CC, though you’ll take one tick of damage. It’s only useful if you are soloing the fight or need a way to survive the beam CC to revive your group/avoid a wipe. Impossible to predict the beam’s target in a group fight, and the spots are tough to get to so you need to memorize Zaan’s moveset almost perfectly to make use.

Nah Dranos is not too bad. He was much easier when pets could aggro bosses though. Now pets just serve as moving sources of DPS - nothing more. Rarely ever worth using.

You can beat Dranos by dropping AoE DoTs and even Ult when he does his gapcloser -> Hard CC. Make sure to walk out of the ground AoE though or it’ll kill you.

VMA on my Stamblade....multiple times till I got my bow. When I rolled through it on my MagSorc later I legit almost quit the game...why did I do that to myself????

Let's go back a few years, when the game was released.

I, over confident with my stamBlade, doing the MQ.

Meeting Mannimarco for the first time.

To this day, this remains the toughest boss I've ever fought with the game mechanics of old. Took over 12 tries before I finally defeated him. He was definitely worthy of those 3 gold pointy bars.

Two weeks ago, with another stamBlade, I dreaded the fight. Until it happened. Dropped on the first try.

I thought to myself: this was one of the toughest bosses in the game. What the hell happened?

Meh.

Once I GG, I'm looking at soloing world bosses.

That'll teach ol' Mannimarco for going pansy on me.

That quest that starts with a Dog in Daggerfall. When I got to the boss, it took me about 20 times to finally beat it. Of course this was during release week and I had an L3 character wearing soul shriven clothes and the weapon I got from the wailing prison and like 3 skills on my bar.

Things got a lot easier after that.

Pretty cool you found ways around it, I was already thinking you could probably not solo this one simply cause of that mechanic

Hardest content I have soloed completely would have to be VMA.

I have soloed a lot of the normal dungeons, but i haven't really jumped in to soloing vets yet. Hardest normal solo was CoA2.

The hardest thing I have soloed in a vet dungeon was Skoria. My group wiped immediately and with the way the dungeon had gone to that point it wasn't worth the hassle of picking them up.

The original...well...everything. Everything was pretty hard when I first started all those years ago. I remember when I got to vet 2 and it took me 5 minutes to kill an Alit on Khenarthi's Roost. Recently tho, like a couple months ago, I soloed almost all of Craglorn's daily cities, like Skyreach Pinnacle, Shada's Tear, I've only grouped with one other person for 2 of them.
