Maybe if a third place team trailing by 100+ points automatically got the sigil buff for the 30 seconds, that might be better than what we have now. I’d still just prefer to not have it at all, but using it as a potential catch up mechanic would be a decent compromise.
Then again I was solo queuing the other day and none of the three I ended up with saw we had the sigil under the base (lava level). I mentioned it in group chat but still no response. Another team came and got it and killed them with it, and I left the group. Can’t fix stupid.

For me BGs are about competing based on skill instead of numbers in a controlled environment. Deathmatch would be the mode to allow that, but the sigil ruins it all. It's 8+ guaranteed kills with basically zero counterplay.
I don't know why ZOS is so much against competitive PvP, but it really sucks in my opinion.
I'm sick and tired of losing what would otherwise be close games simply because another team was lucky and got the sigil one or two more times than the other teams. It's not even that fun to use and even more lame to fight against.
