I will add that I usually run solo so quite often I will spec whatever I am using a bit to the tank side when I don't think straight dps is going to be the best way to run so at times I will go a little tanky with most classes.

What do you do as a templar tank other than taunt and survive? Are you able to cluster adds together in some way?

Not to mention sun shield: it's a class shield for starters, but it's amazing in large pulls because it scales with the number of things attacking you. If you take the blazing morph and get a whole bunch of small fry attacking you, that rebound damage adds up reallllly quickly. It's especially great in vDSA.DocFrost72 wrote: »FrancisCrawford wrote: »strangeradnd wrote: »My only dedicated tank is a Templar, I have been quite happy with the class for tanking.

As for "clustering adds", spear shards to scoop, extended ritual and/or ice staff wall of elements to slow and root (aoe root btw).Potl for minor breach, fracture, ult gen (warhorn uptime increase), and minor sorcery,
Extended ritual to deliver you an on demand cleanse (not to mention synergy, which grants resources),
Shards to restore resources or pull groups of mobs with soft aggro,
Group wide ultimate restore with healing ritual and morphs, if your allies are at 59% health or lower (buffed, allegedly, come Summerset as an instant cast),
Defile at range for fights that benefit from it (bogden, drodda),
Major maim on enemy, which is getting buffed (allegedly) come Summerset.
Keep hearing rumors of silver leash being made a stamina chains... We'll see.

Tanking non DLC veteran dungeons means nothing. My non combat pet can do that.
I tried dk, its a snooze fest to me.
I used warden for an ice tank, but what zos is doing to warden with summerset....there is no reason to continue, she is on stand by.
Atm I am focusing on a shadow tank. Very on the fence with what zos is doing with them in summerset, but will wait to see.
I am curious about templar and sorc tanking tho. I will prob buy two more slots eventually to try em out.
