I main a tank, so adapting any of my classes to tank dungeons really isn't an issue.
Though, if you were looking for greater precision in your results, it might have been worth it to specify what level of content you want to know about. I can tank with anything in a normal dungeon and tank it well. Some of my characters would need adjustments to tank in all veteran dungeons. And trials, obviously, require group cooperation to allow certain builds to tank.0 -

I will add that I usually run solo so quite often I will spec whatever I am using a bit to the tank side when I don't think straight dps is going to be the best way to run so at times I will go a little tanky with most classes.0 -

✭NightBladeI tank with ALL, but I prefer my NB Tank, its a lot more interesting. Dragonknight tanking seems the easy-no-brainer approach, press 3 buttons and stay alive... I find that the most boring. The NB is more challenging and you need to keep up on everyting, so its more exhilarating. The Sorc tank is kinda fun, really quite enjoying that just now. I have tried tanking on the others, but the lack of roots, chains, and wings in various combinations makes the others sub-par. Not to be said it cant be done and done well on those classes, just that they really wont do it as well as a DK. A DK and maybe a warden can spam reflects on the last boss of Fang Lair...the others cant, same for Falkreath Hold, etc. A DK and a Sorc can spam roots as needed, the others cant. A DK and and Warden can pull enemies, the others cant. There is one class there that can do whatever is needed...its the DK and will always be. At least DKs can still tank, considering they nerf our ability to DPS every single patch(well, magicka DKs at least) its the least they can do...considering they never were much good at healing.1 -

In your opinion, if there would be a global root skill. An an option to cancel and/or absorb spell projectiles already exists in other classes, would that bring other classes closer to the DK in tanking?0 -

Without taking on a Warden you can't really say that... Warden tank is pretty darn awesome.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭DragonKnightI was a NB tank first couple years of the game and loved it, but swapped to DK a couple years ago and it's solid.
Just has so many tools for the task. It's my go-to for tanking crazy stuff, new stuff, or if I just feel lazy and want an easier time.
My second fav is probably my Warden. Then followed by my sorc and templar tanks.
And last is now my poor NB. Though some of the changes in the Summerset patch give me hope for him.-- @xaraan --

like the idea of a Death Knight
but also like Sorc having bound armour as a throwback to an Oblivion character of mine
Dragonknight is my easiest/least stressful due to toolkit
followed by Warden on similar basis
but the change to Leash (back) to a pull closes that gap a bit
If ZOS provides another character slot with Summerset,
will likely make another Sorcerer to magtank with

✭✭✭✭✭NightBladefor normal dungeons i dont like the DK - it is good for tanking if tanking is you sole job but in normal dungeons providing aoe damage especially in pug groups is more important, that and ressource management...so i really enjoy the magicka nightblade tanking...combo fo Baraha + Withered hand seems to work really well.... followed by warden...haven't done a lot of warden tanking but have to look into this more as well....maybe ice staff tanking with shalk+dagonguard0 -

I honestly don't mind not having a root and a pull.
What I do mind is not having a good way to regain resources while blocking and not having a good heal when attribute focus is health.
I spam purifying light which is ok but I wouldn't mind somethin a lil more paladin flavored.1 -
