So what will a mag sorc, non-pet, use when staves are counted as 2 items? What happens to julianos or MA? What sets will be the best?

Nothing definitive yet, as we don't know all the new calcs for damage on light/heavy attacks, but Acuity and then either Julianos or Netch is going to be strong.

✭✭✭Seeing as how I already have good stats with 3pc willpower, my 5pc of choice, and monster set of choice along with either a maelstrom or master staff, I'll likely end up trading willpower for a 5pc with a unique set effect to leverage while fighting, rather than raw numbers alone. I tend to focus more on playing around special effects than I do on just brute forcing everything.
Makes the fight more fun.0 -

I'm doing the asylum & will power, acuity & illambris, so i'll ditch the asylum and will power for a 5pc set.

longer lightning means more spammable which should make up for the damage difference.
juli and netch both have too many crit bonuses in the set bonuses so they don't work that well with acuity.0
