Nightblades Are Not Overpowered

Seriously, I don't know why the forum has suddenly started complaining about stamblades. They were barely mentioned in the previous patches. But one change to Assassin's Will and all these Nb nerf threads pop up? Does it have to do with @Dorrino 's addon being less effective than before? I mean, the ganking playstyle has always been frown upon in the community, but any class can do that not just Nbs.

If ZOS decided to actually nerf Nb, I think it removing the defile from incap and reducing the duration of empower would ideal. Cloak does not need to be nerfed because it has always been broken up until this patch where it could reliably work. Fear already got a nerf.

    I think all the nerf required is extra damage debuff and cloak crit heal.

    It's not the ganking playstyle that is the issue.

    It's the fact that nightblades have a stupidly overloaded ultimate that is almost always up, and the fact that they have so many tools to burst and reset fights.

    You can do stuff on a nightblade that would get you killed on any other class, and then come out laughing with a kill or two.

    Incap needs adjustment plain and simple, and I'd say minor maim on fear should go as well.

    Or just a simple cost increase.. That ultimate is to strong. It always has been. 50 ult cost was ridiculous, 70 is still ridiculous... 100 ult cost. Thats the answer. That was you dont get hit by an incap every 30 seconds.

    But im not saying your way would be wrong.. If you ask me incap is the strongest single target pvp ult in the game. Im pretty sure that the templars spear ult (the name slips my mind right now) is more than incap but yet nowhere near as good..

    And one other thing. IF i die to a stam blade in pvp, 99.99999% of the time it comes within that 6 second window after im hit with an incap. Its a tough ultimate to deal with depending on what class you play...

    My guildmate is a really good player - he can do rotations flawlessly. On his NB he can pull 50K+ parses solo. On his DK around 40k. On other classes, it's less. With raid buffs he's up closer to 70k on the NB.

    I'm not saying nerf NB, but maybe some other classes need a buff. Cheers.

    i remember selene viper widowmaker nightblades that were ONE SHOTTING EVERYONE. also said stamsorcs. and nightblades still hit so frickin hard that you cant even recover on top of endless sustain and perma dodge and perma cloak.

    You're also forgetting that not many operate alone anymore as if they aren't capable of doing so, not suggesting it's their fault they do so but if they're not being the lone assassin which the class and its players claim them to be, then bow and burst needs looking at. imo
    (ganking builds specifically).

    A cost increase or a damage buff decrease would ruin pve and war machine builds. If an incap nerf has to happen, the stun would have to be your target. If the stun were to be removed entirely, defile would likely have to be removed from soul harvest and death stroke

    Removing the stun from incap would be a good start, but they still have fear. strongest CC in the game.

    cloak is still too strong. dots are not effective on a nightblade because of cloak and the crit healing bug should get fixed

    Your 2nd sentence is actually somewhat sensible, have dots both not remove cloak and not suppressed by cloak, crit heals by shadowy disguise is likely a bug (though I use the other morph) and therefore should be fixed. Fear uses the same resource pool as cloak and unlike many other class ccs, forces you to be in melee range to utilize.

    Threads calling for a nerf that go 10+ pages and spawn defensive threads on the other hand...

    I doubt they will go away. Its pretty hard to defend stamblades and the sensible community has had enough.

    You can do different stuff on other classes that you can not do on a nightblade and then come out laughing with a kill or two.

    Isn't that the point of the class? To excel in 1v1s and not so good in group?

    What stuff exactly can Nbs pull off but other classes would get killed?

    You should know better. Proof? Go to cyro and watch a decent stamblade play. high sustain, high damage, dodge rolling paired with cloak. impossible to hit.

    It has nothing to do with nightblade. Everyone got their cheat add-on removed and now they can't avoid ganks any more because they relied on a third party crutch.

    Chances are half the times they get ganked it isn't even a night blade, buy obviously anyone that uses stealth MUST be a nb.
