The forums purpose is to give us something to do at work.

If a post relates to a request (with many replies in agreement), I feel ZOS should respond! For example, the removal of crown crates. I saw many requests asking for their removal. In fact, one post included a poll where 60% of players wanted crown crates gone. No response by ZOS. However, if the majority of your customers are making this request, aren't we at least entitled to a response?

The devs have never had any kind of significant presence here at the forums, not even during the super secret in-house closed beta.Tur-Kuruvar wrote: »Can't the DEVS respond more often to our inquiries?
Lets be real, we are a vocal minority and shouldn't really shape the game this way. Its a good way for community ideas/contributions, but its not really worth it in the long run.
Zeni is a billion dollar company controlled by shareholders, not an indie company relying on loyal fans.

Nope. Those days are long gone because far too many people over the years took what a dev said to the point of making issues even larger.Tur-Kuruvar wrote: »Can't the DEVS respond more often to our inquiries?
Not really. Just because (some) people on the forum are a loud, vocal group doesn't mean the majority necessarily agrees with them.Tur-Kuruvar wrote: »I understand that forums make up a small percentage of the player-base, but it is indicative of most likely what the majority of the entire player-base feels.

Zenimax is a private company. There aren't any public shareholders.

Some people should learn, what a "representative survey" is.
An opinion of someone not contributing via vote cant be considered any vote in any way. If their opinon doesnt get represented enough, then its their fault, not of those contributing. Compare it with an election. Just stating, that some people didnt vote and the actual election is invalid due to this, doesnt work in RL as well. Statistics and surveys are made every day, they would all be invalid with the logic, that it wouldnt count, because not everyone has been asked.
And after all: People not contributing also shouldnt complain.
