What would be a fair price for the Summerset Isles Chapter?

Being that this is a major chapter addition and this MMORPG is literally one of the best MMORPGs on the market and likely one of the best ever made the price should be steep. How steep you might ask? Well, here's how I would price the Chapter.
  • $200 Physical Collectors Copy - Includes three special crates, miniature, etc.
  • $150 Digital Collectors Copy - Includes three special crates and associated in-game mount.
  • $89 Physical Copy - Just copy of the game.
  • $89 Digital Copy. - Just copy of the game.

This pricing structure would ensure the developers would get what they deserve for such a beautiful and feature rich title that has no mandatory subscription fee. It would also ensure more quality content in the future.

We'd have to see it on PTS or Beta first ... but likely the same price as Morrowind chapter.

That's like twice as much as the last chapter, if ZOS wants to limit initial sales and alienate/upset a large section of their player base, I imagine that would work.

Same price as morrowind is what is fair.

I'll buy it regardless but I hope this time it's a REAL expansion not just a dlc like TG or DB with a little more real estate and a new class thrown on top.

Even when Morrowind came out, I waited until it was on sale. There's no way I'd pay what you've listed. This game is good, but not that good.

I didn't buy morrowind until it was on sale for half price... so apparently I snap it up for $30 for a digital copy but I am not willing to spend $60.

So maybe $40 for digital copy.

    Morrowind's Original Pricing Scheme was pretty reasonable IMO. It was;
    • $99 Physical Collector's Edition
    • $59 Digital Collector's Edition
    • $59 Physical Copy
    • $39 Digital Copy

I think it may be a little on the high end there, but it is definitely more reasonable than what you're thinking of.

Definitely skooma pipe. I'm not paying $260 (CAD) for a physical collectors editions. I've been playing this game since May 2014, have never stopped, and never stopped subbing. I'm dedicated. Will not pay that. We are talking ONE zone. Look at what the base game had..m

ROLFLMAO, you might would pay $90 for a digital copy but most people wouldnt. $40 is about the max i would go. It would have to be a really good xpack to get $50 out of me.

I'd expect it to be the same as before, but regardless of the price I'll wait for it to go on sale, cancel my sub to cover the cost, essentially getting the dlc as part of my sub as it should be for all dlc. Just as I did previously.

Geez your threads are painful OP.

Why would you be ok with them charging a full games price for an expansion? I got no problem if you like getting ripped off but those of us with some common sense have a problem with it.

I think Morrowind was a bit too steep for what was in it, if they charge the same then I think they would need more then what Morrowind offered.

Once again Op has a unrealistic post. That's a H... no at those prices

40 max and 60 max on a collectors ed.

$10 less on the digital upgrade versions.

even then I would have to really think is this something I want from the direction the game has been turning.

Basically this. I'd pay $99 for a physical collector's edition (and I'm hoping it's that price because I want the physical stuff), because it's the Summerset Isles. Morrowind was basically fanservice, and a bit too high a cost for what it gave (not talking about the physical stuff), which was a zone roughly the walking size of Orsinium, a new class (of which I have 3 Wardens), and battlegrounds. If Summerset gives spellcrafting and jewelry-crafting, with the supposed psijic skill line, then it'd be worth what Morrowind cost.

Also, by special crates, I'm assuming you mean crown crates, and if so, no way, keep those things out of the collector's editions. Unless they guarantee me to get a radiant apex mount, I don't want it.

    *** no.

That's like twice what the price was before on regular and three times the price on digital CC.

They get plenty of revenue from subs, crown store purchases and crown crates. This argument that they need more cash is just *** white knight fanboy garbage.

@Knowledge w/e happened to 35-60$ max to the expansions/chapters? seriously? I wouldn't pay that much...and I'm actually who is a sub since early access without stopping...also I'm willing to pay 30$/month if zos would remove the b2p thing and make the game sub access only if they would ofc fix the main issues...aka lagfest+performance so we can finally play trials and pvp with idk minimum 60 fps? speaking for those with pc that can handle it not toasters that can barely frame Tetris :3
