It comes down to how much damage you're getting from Heavy/Light attacks vs that from pets.

Max Magicka will improve your ward. Spell damage will not.
Max Magicka will also improve your heal from the matriarch (if you chose that). Spell damage will not.
So if you find yourself being a bit squishy or relying on heals a lot, consider that.

@Sordidfairytale , true, but in regard to the ward, this really only becomes an issue in PvP (where shield values are halved.)

If you're using Hardened, you're already getting an additional 33%. You can also boost the base value via CP's. It becomes a little more prevalent if you're using Empowered.

In short, any greater shield value than what gets burned up in 6/10 seconds is potentially wasted Spell Damage, and in any build, LA/HA are going have a place.

Equally, with the Matriarch, it is a larger heal, but often it will be large enough, even with meager magicka stat values, especially when coupled with the ward above.

It's generally much easier to add additional max stat than it is to add more Spell Damage. The trick is to find a balance with the build that works for you and your playstyle, then fine tune from there.

So long as you know which skills are affected primarily by which value, you can adjust however you need to.

EDIT: To be fair, Harness also scales with max stat. Beyond a certain point, it will cost less than it returns if someone is silly enough to feed you spell projectiles.

For this build yes because it scales off max resources.

So with the 1 heavy rotation, i had to swap to witchmother. With ele susceptibility i was hitting 45.3k on 3mil and 43.9 on 6 mil.

I also had level 1 unstable wall.

Once I max unstable wall, have someone ele drain for me, and i'm able to use blue max mag/max health food, I think 47k is possible on 3mil.

I think in a raid setup, this will be the harder hitting setup as long as bosses are ele drained/you're getting orbs.

Need updated version of this please!
