We much prefer to give an option for settings like this instead of leaving them out completely.
Including the forums? If so, I can't find it. In our increasingly PC snowflake world, I have grown tired of the constant snowflake-protecting rules on the forums I visit. I do not need a profanity filter and would like to have mine removed.
"Snowflake world"? If you can't control your anger and profanity in a forum, you likely have bigger issues...like growing up. You can swear with your friends, you can even swear in the game (and turn off the filter). You may need help.
Reading comprehension is hard. I want to be able to see the profanity so I know what people are saying in the forums without having to use guesswork. "Bad" words don't affect me because I'm not a whelp that needs to be protected from such things.

And yet, your desire to see "bad" words is superseded by ZMax's desire to disallow you. Pretty sure you can figure out what they are actually saying but if you really want to know, you could always PM them. I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you.
I cuss like a drunk sailor in RL but I also realise not everyone wants to hear that and I have no issue curtailing my colourful language if it bothers others. No skin off my nose.

...Do you not get that we're asking for a toggle for ourselves, not forcing others to have it off?

Did you not read the OP?
This is Zmax's house. They don't want it for whatever reason. It's not that difficult to not type "bad" words. Bit different from speaking where there's no going back.

"bad words" like "whisper me"?

It is actually quite funny to see what the game sees as "profanity" and leaves you wondering how exactly that could be even remotely fall under the category of "bad" words.

Why? You haven’t really given us a reason why you want it gone.
Having to turn it off every time you create a new toon is kind of a pain isn't it?Why isn't it off by default?

@ZOS_Edward
A problem I am seeing with the profanity filter right now is that it censores too many things unnecessarily.
Sure, you can turn it off, but suppose you want it on. If you play on EU and speak let's say German you actually have to work around things that trigger the English profanity filter that just happen to appear in German sentenses. Without trying I am almost certain that the spanish word for black can't even be written because of the English filter.
It is too strict to the point that people who would prefer it being on, turn it off anyway as it just disturbs the flow of a conversation. I would like the option of having a selection of multiple language based profanity filters for at least the main languages of the game (English, German, French and Japanese?).

The spanish word for black is ***. Is it not a bad word and the ingame profanity filter does not filter it out. But for some reason the forum filter does. That other n-word that is actually derogatory IS filtered out ingame as it should.
