Almost every day this one is in the pool, paddling the paws yes beneath the shady trees, listening to the sound of the ocean.

Then the orc girl will come up and say there is a spider in the kitchen or Hodorf has lost his pants again or Puddle has got his tail caught in something or Nommie has tried to bite one of the camels again.

Always breaking the immersion of this one yes.

Usually I scoff at "my immersion" complaints, but when no one blinks at my stage 4 vamp as I go through Rivenspire I just have to wonder about how much thought actually went into the writing. I actually laughed when I walked into Fang Lair and the NPC mentioned that I didn't look pasty or dead enough to be one of the necromancers.

When you encounter someone awkwardly crouch-shuffling behind NPCs in broad daylight on a busy city street, followed by massive flappy pets.

Also, stealth missions. Painstakingly sneaking through, immersed in the story and your current stealthy goal... when suddenly there are 5 other players and a random trail of flappy summons and pets zooming past you.

I saw an NPC doing that in Oblivion once (minus the flappy pets of course). It was the weirdest thing, the guy was not a thief, was not associated with the Thieves Guild at all and as far as I could tell had absolutely no pickpocketing skills whatsoever. But then he randomly decided to rob one of his neighbours in the middle of the street in broad daylight.

Of course he got caught immediately and ran about 1/2 way round the town (it was in Skingrad if I remember correctly) trying to escape the guards before they caught him, killed him and then walked away as if it was nothing.

The AI in that game was crazy. So many NPCs would suddenly get totally out of character ideas and do crazy things.

Bonus points if the intrepid group of vampire hunters hires a vampire to aid them in their hunt without realizing it. At least that Dunmer Vampire Hunter did, eventually, realize what you are, years later, in Cyrodiil.

We've got Morvath's sire and potentially Serana in Dawnguard; there's precedent for both sides working together with and without mutual knowledge. From the vampire side, several strains are rivals with one another so helping some mortal hunters go stake a rival clan isn't that big of a stretch. Admittedly a little less forgivable given that so many hunters are clueless about the vampire thing when the ESO strain leaves visible physical changes, unlike some of the other strains...

Difference being that the Vampire from Immortal Blood can, explicitly, disguise himself as a mortal when he wants to (which is true of that entire bloodline), and of course Dawnguard knows about Serana from the moment you walk in the front door.

Thing is, as a member of the Lamae bloodline, you can't pass for mortal at all. So, that's not an option, so all our characters look like vampires unless they're wearing disguises.

Though, it's also amusing that the player character seems to be unaware of their own vampirism while playing through Rivenspire, which can lead to some of the most contextually bizarre conversations in the game.

Verandis: So, you know what we are?
Vamp PC: OHMYGOD, You're vampires! BACK FOUL CREATURE! *Starts backing away in circles screaming at their own hands.*

Though, bonus points for the conversations with both NPCs who become infected with vampirism, and you have the option of putting them down because, "all vampires are evil." Which, I mean, could work in a darkly sarcastic kind of way, now that I think about it, but it was still an odd conversation.

Could you imagine getting a bounty if you were a Stage 3/4 vampire and walked close enough to an NPC? People would be be shouting and hollering about that!
