Just under 40k health before food. Nightblade abilities help, almost all points are put into health, and armor boosts health (although it will be higher after I complete a gold set). Only reason I focus so heavily on health is for abilities based off max health and no want for higher damage or spammable abilities. High recovery means I don't need as big a pool to pull from for stamina or magicka abilities either.
12k healthSeriously.

My Dragonknight is 36k. It was like 40, but I was not having significant troubles even in pretty bad groups on vet content so I swapped enchantments. If I was more responsible about blocking I think I could go lower. I tend to rather enjoy punching the bosses around, laughing, and healing off their hits.

That depends a lot on the content you're doing. Some bosses hit pretty hard even trough block. For example the Earthgore Amalgam will hit for 15K+ even if you are blocking, you have plenty of CP allocated and nearly capped resistance, so I consider 35K to be the bare minimum in that fight if you want to pull trough.

Nightblades have no abilities that scale off max health, you would be better served with higher magicka to make your heals more powerful.
