Cyrodiil exploit

So after logging on directly to Cyrodiil despite the queues and pop lock, I have a theory. People who are offline are still counting as being in Cyrodiil toward the pop cap? If so, that would explain why EP and DC were hit so hard... they have more numbers and that works against them if this is indeed the issue.

There should probably still be a queue so maybe people time out after a certain amount of time and with how heavy the logging on and logging off gets on Friday night, those offliners may have stuck around longer than they should have.

    where is the exploit?

    sincerely yours, a pact player.

The supposed exploit is that ZOS bugged out the queues, causing anyone trying to get into Cyrodiil to be sitting in endless queues. Due to AD having the largest active population at the time when people started to be locked out (not usual, AD usually has a solid night-time population) AD benefited the most which was exacerbated by AD being able to rush the map and crown an emp, so that DC and EP players logged off and found themselves unable to log back in.

Its pretty much entirely chance that AD was the faction that benefited the most from the timing, and I think its foolish to pretend that DC and EP wouldn't have done the same thing in AD's place.

my question wasnt meant serious. i have been one of the first to open a thread about the bugged queue on friday night for pc eu pact. there was no exploit, thats all. they should reset the campaign, thats all.

This wasn't an exploit, this is combo of zeni's crap coding and crap communication / responsiveness. But you're right that it seems similar to the IC XP situation. If they punish people for benefiting from their own ineptitude , where do they draw the line? The punitive attitude they've shown before could easily be applied to the AD who ran the map last night, or to anyone who stayed and played in Vivec after it became clear that the pop was bugged.

I'd like to think they'd use more sense than that, but history has taught me not to put too much stock in Zeni's decision making.

hehe game is terrible, but if I leave i wont have anything to whine about. At least until i move on to another game.

There is no way to tell if someone that never logged out knew the queue was busted . With that in mind a campaign reset would be fair for everyone that could not log in and defend . It's best to avoid banning players for bugs out of their control and possibly knowledge . I could not login last either and I'm AD . The bug was effecting every faction . Those that did not log out obviously reaped an advantage but we do not know if knowingly or not .

    This ^

A campaign reset is the only way to get a fair resolution on this matter. we cannot blame players for playing the game just because they can get in and others could not.
