Does this set (in heavy) come in sturdy and is just really hard to find or does it not exist at all?

Hard to find, only drop in heavy from coffers (quest or heist dailies).

As far as I know the only heavy pieces of this set drop from the thieves guild quest rewards. Everything else in zone drops as light. Also I have never seen any purple jewelry.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Bahraha's Curse feels like an pvp set to me.

I use it on my mag DK tank paired with Julianos when I'm tanking normals for the XP bonus -- especially if group damage sucks and there's a fake healer on board. The five piece bonus procs quite reliably with Eruption, I find.

I like this set a lot for tanking. I gave up farming for it after like one day. I just buy this stuff. I have more gold than patience.

Nothing wrong with farming or buying off-trait Heavy ... and then transmuting the trait to sturdy.

Damage tank should work well and is an ignored setup simply as it don't work in trials.
In that case arcane jewelry should work well. On templar or warden you could double as healer to for an 3 DD run.

It's a pain in the butt, for sure. Especially if you're trying to get the purple jewellery... on the upside, I have the spawn location of just about every Hew's Bane treasure chest memorized after farming for days a while back. <eyeball twitch>

Yep. It always frustrates me a little when I'm running random normals for XP on my healer and we get a trials-ready tank rocking Ebon/Torugs and DPS that hit like wet noodles... there's absolutely no need to run a meta tank setup for normals. I sometimes leave my tankier gear on if I'm tanking random normals with two competent DPS, but it comes off IMMEDIATELY when I hear the telltale sounds of Snipe spam.

Eh, maybe for vets. Julianos/Bahraha's is fine for tanking normals while also doing a bit of damage.

They really need to get the set in all three weights again. Its only ever actually used on Tanks now. Normally on the Nightblade heal tank. So they need to release it in the traits people actually want.

purple jewlery is one thing...in arcane i don't think its that hard to find but in healthy it's impossible it seems

it is a bit weird to me how at times with some gear zos uses a very specific rule set on what you can find where etc. where they usually don't... i used to think they have a very indepth plan for all this stuff that makes sense when you know it...more and more i just think they fling stuff at the wall and see what sticks

Yeah, the treasure chests only drop arcane jewellery and light armour. It's okay if you're taking a magicka DPS/tank hybrid through normals, but I personally wouldn't use it for anything else. It's a pity the set pieces don't drop in heavy from chests/overland kills... I know you can get heavy pieces through the quests/heists, but meh.

Hmm, interesting... I'd never considered using Withered Hand. Bahraha's/Withered Hand might be a good option for tanking dungeons with three DPS.

    Pretty much.

My nightblade tank runs bahraha's curse, livewire, and sentinel of rkugamz. He's focused on magicka rather than stamina, so benefits more from livewire than from leeching plate. Sentinel of Rkugamz procs off heals (so pretty much everything my nb does heals, it's always active when off cooldown) and restores 500~ stamina per second, which allows me to maintain stamina while permablocking on the bosses that require it.

I also run a restoration staff back bar when more group/heavy healing is needed. Doing 3 dps runs is cake.

Withered hand only procs on enemy death, so it doesnt help at all on most boss fights. Livewire will provide damage and healing on aoe packs, and still procs during boss fights every 10 seconds for a minor heal. It also has better stats for tanking in general.

Leeching plate is ideal since it offers more healing and damage than either set, but it has a lower proc chance and doesnt benefit from any magic damage champion points.

I am running bahraha's with 5x light fortified brass on my magblade, since you need a lot of penetration to actually fully benefit from bahraha's damage/heals. Also gives almost endless magicka sustain due to those light armor passives.

You're right, re: boss fights (though I do think Withered Hand could still work for boss encounters with lots of adds). I tried Livewire/Bahraha's on my mDK a while back, and ended up getting rid of Livewire; I run lightning staff on back bar, so I already have good concussion uptime as it is, and the extra healing taken bonuses don't benefit me all that much as an Argonian DK. I also found that the proc rate and cool down on the five piece heal wasn't worth it for trash pulls. I can definitely see how Livewire could work, though, for a non-DK tank with no equivalent to Green Dragon Blood.
