Dear god. I don't want to sound offensive, but that didn't sound very good. Sounded very much like a stereotype vulgar person talking russian. Im pretty sure that a danish (my language) voice actor would have been just as awful in this case. It might even be hilariously funny and stupid to hear, now I actually want someone to do a danish voice acting of Ulfric! XD
It was my words, not Eremith's, so I'll reply. In my view, this particular voice is more suitable, than other Ulfric's voices I heard, partially, because of my understanding of let me call it "strong masculine leader voice", and partially because of the baby duck syndrome, which means it's first voice acting for this particular NPC I heard. Somehow or other, as I said before, it's debatable and there is no truth (in philosophical sense), because any judgment is based on a personal perception, alright? This example is out of topic anyway, so let it go for the... How it was? Ah, gods sake.Jayman1000 wrote: »

Можешь распознать русского, даже если он говорит только по-английски? Вот это воистину финт ушами! Научишь? Цены бы не было такому специалисту в службе госбезопасности.duendology wrote: »logarifmik wrote: »I bet you met a lot of Russian players, but didn't get it, because they spoke in English.
Actually, I did. A) I am a Pole, B ) I like languages..SO, I can understand Russians quite well.

funny, such shade, about toxicity of all things, being cast by a person making such an egregiously stereotypical statement.
Well its actually true. Teenage Russian gamers have a VERY toxic subculture, unfortunately.
Not everyone is toxic, of course, but there's a very noticeable tendency.
Okay but nothing about Russians make them incredibily moreso than anyone else. You're willfully overlooking even your own recollections to confirm your bias in this matter, guaranteed. You simply notice it more because it's more of an outstanding occurrance.
I am an american, born and raised, and I can say for sure that I've had the more N words, F bombs, and jokes about my mothers purity thrown my direction from obvious native English speakers. But because that is so run of the mill we don't even consider that, it's the people with the thick accents who stand out like a sore thumb.. that stick otu like a sore thumb, in the average persons memory.
In fact if we're talking purely stats, I'd say I more frequently encounter outwardly and aggressively negative Americans than anything else out there. And I know I'm no exclusion from this, I have my moments-- go on plenty of obscene tirades. I seldom encounter Russians, and when I do it's not frequently a negative outcome. Maybe in f2p games which are like cesspools for toxic morons, but even then.. The turks are just as bad as the russians who are no worse than we americans but most of all it's the bolivians that *** ya off.

Hm, I am in a russian guild, whilst I do not speak russian at all. I came to that guild due to an invitation by a russian friend, whom I know from another game. Even I cannot talk much with these guys, I found them rather helpful and sharing and those, who want to learn english or better their english are quite nice to talk to - we communicate as well outside of ESO with each other about a variety of topics per email. I made the same experience in EVE with russians - I get along with them quite well, in the end we are all not that different, it is more a language barrier than anything else.

The only thing that repels is the lack of translation into Russian. There is an amateur translation, but I'm sure that it will not be complete, the more you announced 4 DLS in 2018. Make a gift in the New Year to the fans of the game in Russia, translate it for us.

That way my chat window can be freed-up of eye-bleeding Cyrillic.
This! I already told about this solution in several threads. Can be done easily, I suppose.LadyNalcarya wrote: »drkfrontiers wrote: »Yeah.

Then there is an easier solution: /ru channel.
I mean, we even have Japanese channel, so why not.

That's kinda un called for, Why do you think I adopted EU; if I from NA? No offense, but I just grew tired of other people. Whom Speaks English as Native language. Keep telling other people, whom don't speak English as there Native Tongue. To learn English, especially in County (12 1/2 years currently) I'm currently living. Which of course is mostly spoken in Español, Filipino, Chinese and English. In which English is the 3rd spoken language, whilst Español is main language. But also 4th language is Yakima language, which is not often spoken outside of the Yakama Tribe. Only rarely. http://www.native-languages.org/yakama.htmPlautisCarvain wrote: »
I fully agree, I love playing EU (from United States) I love all the languages there and PvP. I've learned some French from both DC and AD. (20+words) but now since I adopted EP recently, in my campaign platform and server. I get to learn more words from 2, possibly 3 different language as well as English. German is mostly spoken on EP. But I heard learning German, is hard for us English Speakers. You know something? It's not gojng to stop me from learning German in PvP. Why, because I embrace all differint languages. I yern to learn, I'm an adventurer like you. Because I was meant to see the World and explore all cultures, beliefs, religon especialy the languages; to name the few.

There are many stupid people everywhere, like the Americans, and Germans, the French. Stupid everywhere! Schoolchildren also from any country a lot. Your discussion at all about anything.
I want to enjoy the game, and not try to learn the language, hide from fools and schoolchildren. Playing in your native language you can understand the game much deeper and wider. For example, games like Witcher, Fallout and Skyrim are translated, the worse TESO? THAN???
Well, the english speaking world better prepares itself for picking up Mandarin. Welcome to the future!

As it was several times said, ask Zenimax for a changes, /ru chat zone and fix of the Cyrillic script's font (a proper name for what you call "azbuka"). Don't blame the players, comrade. With such logic you can go further and blame saints Cyril and Methodius.Would be great if Russians didn't spam zone chat with long messages in azbuka. If you guys see these ppl online, can u ask them to stop? maybe they will listen to their countrymen.

I have only one hypothesis, but it's based on the prejudice some dimwitted players have, and I don't want to spread such lies further. And you?
