what would work better when combined with pillars of nirn for a bleed build on sorc or stamplar - automaton vs blooddrinker

I saw a build that utilized bleeds stacked with other dots and they ran Skoria as once you get all your dots on it procs quite often.

I'd totally tag the guy who posted it but I can't seem to find it or remember where I saw it (I've drank and slept since then). They were combining 5 pc Viper + 5 pc Sheer Venom with 2 pc Skoria. Poison injection back bar would proc Sheer Venom and then you stack bleeds and other dots and watch them fall.

@Sixty5 you should try 1 Axe and another Masters dw piece. You’ll keep similar uptime on the Axe bleed and gain crit with a dagger there.

If you are a stamdk pop corrosive armor and all your dot skills become bleeds for ten second. If you hit someone with venomous claw at 9 seconds into corrosive armor the claw damage will still ingore physical resistance after you lose the corrosive buff.

I use viper, skoria or slimecraw, vMA two hand axe (for gap closer dot) and Assasin's guile on the dual wield bar. My defenses are poopy but its best advantage is catching people unaware of the power of a dot build.

I actually ran axe plus dagger for awhile since I didn't have two axes.

The more reliable bleed procs honestly just feel better than 5% crit.
It would be a different story if I was running more crit on my gear, but unfortunately I am not.

    2 Questions:

    1. is a bleed build viable in VMA? Could completely drop any pen, throw it all into Mighty/Thurm/Master at Arms
    2. Can bleeds crit?
DO. NOT. WIPE. (in game OR out!)

Anything is viable in vma if you are good enough, so yes.

And yes, bleeds can crit, but they can also be shielded and I believe they are mitigated by things like minor protection.

@Nighn_9 When Morrowind was on PTS the first thing I did was try out a "deals damage to attackers when blocking" Health Warden build. Suffice it to say that the sustain was sufficient while using sword and board on one bar and ice staff on the other, while using the health-based ice skill, bone shield and tried out all combinations of "returns damage to attacker" Sets.

It was interesting and fairly survivable in 1v1 but couldn't possibly do sufficient damage to kill something powerful in a reasonable amount of time. The 1vX mobs was hilarious and fun but not especially useful.

Just not tanking worked better, actually.

As a "tank" Thews of the Harbinger turned out to do more damage than, say, Night Terror or Twin Sisters, if Health was really stacked as far at it could go.

@ClockworkCityBugs I run a bleed build on my dk it's 5 cyrodiils crest on body, 5 impreg, dual wield master weapons one axe one dagger, and a master great sword. I wear 3 wellfitted 3 open so I sit at 4133 crit resist with a few point puts into the cp passive. I also put 60 points in befoul and 50 into tumbling my blue cp is changes ever so slightly depending on what I'm doing. I have yet to fight anyone else with my build but I've been told it's pretty obnoxious. Hope this helps

Should also say that I have swapped out my build for something new in preperation for no-cp Battlegrounds next patch.

Currently trying out Blood Spawn, Fortified Brass, and Unfathomable, though Agility + Masters Axes is a second option.

Looking at 27k resists in medium armour with Hurricane up, Blood Spawn proc puts me at above resistance cap.

Bleeds aren't as potent as the old build, but it's made up for by the fact that I can sponge a lot of damage, and still have access to shuffle.

    @Sixty5

Id thought about doing a medium impen Fortified Brass set for open-world PvP; think it’d be viable there?
    Also,
Is Unfath a good PvP set? The crows seem to have a delay. Long duration though, and the 4pc has amazing stats. Just curious.

Still testing Fortified out, I'd say its a set that works better in non-cp from what I've seen so far. There is less there that breaks your defenses there, and in general damage is lower overall, so high resistances are more effective.

As far as Unfathomable, I'm liking what I have seen so far. It gives a ton of damage from the 4 piece and the proc is pretty consistantly up, and doesn't require you to stay offensive to keep it up if you run a dot.

Haven't tested it, made it after I got tired of fat tanks in CP BG's

Should work fine though, might want to spec a bit more into sustain

This build can bleed people out from 2 attacks while your in stealth, possibly the highest burst bleeds you can get?

    2 skoria, 5 viper, 5 sheer venom

Focus on applying your bleeds AND armor/healing/any other debuff spam (debuff spam prevents people from effectivley purging bleeds).

I've actually seen a lot of Stamplars running bleeds as well. Starts off with a DBoS, into Rending Slashes (probably with Master's DW weapons) and then Jabs until you're in execute range. Executioner (probably with the Asylum 2H) FTW. You're getting shredded before you can get up from the DBoS. Shortly thereafter they've got DBoS back up.

It's pretty effective. Same deal with Warden- except you toss in Shalks and change jabs to Flurry.
