Those Group Boss and Dark Anchor placeholders are probably from back when Alinor was going to be a vanilla launch zone.

Spellcrafting just means greater character customization. Sure some people will use the "best in slot" skills, but almost everybody does that now. With spellcrafting, if someone wants to make a frost mage, they can. If someone wants a flame atronach pet, they probably can.

Not necessarily. There's off the map locales I've seen that have all sorts of temporary markers, words or weird pink outlines or the like. It's just notes for planning out the worldbuilding from a god's eye view.

A friend of mine escaped the invisible walls around his house and made an amazing, decorated pirate ship. Too cool. I love escaping the map and try very hard not to do it, or think about it, because it is too much funs and totally pointless.

I never did get to the Direnni Tower though.

Wow, SpellCrafting!?! Just yesterday I was opposed and convinced this would never happen. I can only imagine the wild imbalance this will bring but I guess it's happening... Boy, was I wrong! I'll refrain from further bashings until I see more of what it has to offer. This could be very exciting, I would be satisfied with just being able to change the color of powers for slight personalization but this will take things a Step further! Takes me back to Morrowind when all Destruction spells were horribly animated Projectiles haha! Okay, I've switched sides, I'm excited.

Here are my speculation:

Apparently there is an " Oblivion gate " in the basement of the Artaeum.( sealed)
The soul cairn is an " Olbivion plane ".
Mannimarco was a psijic order member ( like Vanus galerion ) so he know that there is a " Oblivion gate " there.

The soul cairn is a perfect place for necromancer

So i assume Mannimarco will try to open the Oblivion gate, then he will fullfil the Vyrhtur's Prophecy and free the darkness on Tamriel, according to this prophecy " sunlight will be repulsed by a vampire",

Altmer Worship " Auri-el - Trinamac, Syrabane and Phynaster" , the Vyrhtur's prophecy is agaisnt Auri-el cause he did not cure him of his vampirism.

Selena's Mother is a vampire ( from Dawnguard) that we encounter in the soul cairn, vampire live a long time, don't know since when she is stuck there.

There are talking about an island in the CWC prophecy, probably Summerset island ( surely) , they are also talking about a " tower " , maybe the " Artaeum " ?
The grand Prognosticator also talk about " Darkness spreading across the land "( mephala ? Vyrhtur's prophecy ? ) and a golden knight ( the king laloriaran dynar from Coldharbour ? Auri-el ? ) , three princes, and an unexpected sacrifice.

Artaeum isn't a tower, it's the island of the Psijics. The "tower" would be Crystal-Like-Law (otherwise known as Crystal Tower), which if the Daedra somehow knock out a tower, it's probably not gonna do much if the other towers are still standing (snow-throat, green-sap, walk-brass). I could be wrong about if the towers give power or not.

Reading part 2 of the blog (part 1 was great too) got me so excited about Summerset Isle. I really hope that ZOS does Summerset correctly and each town/city and the island itself matches the descriptions in the blog and what's known in lore. If they do then Summerset might be the most beautiful update so far.

pets, and cloaks (RP purposes, cause cloak is a joke) for ALL characters!

this is where the separate PVP/PVP balancing needs to be revisited.

what happened to jewelcrafting? would seem the easier thing to implement?

Just wanted to thank the OP. Regardless of whether any of it is true (and I like your line of thinking) it's one of the most interesting things I've read around here in a long time. I really enjoyed it and await the next chapter.

Sorry for necro'ing a post, but I was wondering, while re-reading the second part of your Data Mining trilogy... Did you find any traces of a Faculty of Chirurgeons in Cloudrest? It existed in the Fourth Era, and I am wondering how it could be meaningfully included in ESO... It would be nice to get access to in-game face changeing for gold, for those who purchase the Chapter, in addition to the Crown Store system, for example.

Or there could be a quest with some unique collectible facial features as a reward...

there's no mentions of it in the files, but it's a possibility that we see it anyway, I'd like to see it
