I guess @Typhoios, good point on Jewellery. Does wipe out Willpower / another though. Maybe they think it would've been OP to offer it in Light. Lol at that, an OP sorc is rare these days tho lol.
I'm actually anti mettle, I think the gain from 7 LA passives outweigh's that extra 4%, however 6:1 at a push may work. I'll set about getting the Jewellery first, and a Sharp Inferno, then worry about it I guess! Ha.

Unlike medium, there is very little benefit to running 7 light over 5, a little bit more regen and cost reduction that are greatly outweighed by the damage from 4% more mana. You can obtain arcane rings for this set if you get the special named rings, Gem of Curses is what its called I think, but afaik you can only obtain a healthy neck.
Rattle cage is basically a PvP set that will have little to no use in PvE, so if you are primarily a PvE player which it sounds like you are, the usefulness of this set will probably not stand out to you. This is a fantastic set for a magicka DK or templar in PvP.

The neck is available in Arcane too.
"Forbidden Jewels" and "Gem of Curses" Add in a Rattlecage staff, and it'll be possible to do 5/1/1 with all-arcane jewelry. Still a lackluster set, though.

- Your group tank should provide the team with 100% igneous uptime anyways.
- Your potion can provide you with major sorcery anyways.
- Giving up 200 spell damage to Julianos or another equivalent set is just not worth it either.

It's five piece, including jewelry. You can run this with Kagernacs/ Julianos 5 piece and a monster set, too. It's hardly useless, unless your a crit stacking clothie. It's actually going to be a game-changer for heavy armor magika players.

Only had a quick search but am I correct in saying the Rattlecage set only comes in Heavy Armour?
Is that not a bit odd considering its primarily a magic users set, this they will be running Light?
