✭Battlemage vs. Necromancer.
Someone should do a poll and see which one people hope to see as the Summerset chapters' new class. The lore is looking Necromancery, but the Battlemage theme was so high in demand when some of us (read: me) thought we were possibly getting one in Morrowind due to what we saw in the cinamatic trailer. Also, all that one hand + rune hype.

SPELL CRAFTING WILL NEVER HAPPEN It would only throw the game even further out of balance...
I was excited then very skeptical after reading the post but after close inspection, I think you may be on to something!!!
I'm still going in with my expectations low so as not to be disappointed, I won't accept anything less than a new Weapon Skill Line at the very least. All this being Purely Hypothetical until I get some more concrete evidence but I would venture to Guess that "BattleMage" would have a Necromany Skill Line, IF it is in fact a class. So it looks like they may have gotten their wish... Maybe.

...I mean, one, that solves the problem of having to balance crafted spells for all classes viz. their extant class skills, because you are limiting all of them to a single class. Two, it sort of makes for a neat idea - level 3 schools of magic, pick (craft) some spells in each, sort of like build-a-bear but for ESO. [Not that I've ever been inside Build-a-Bear. I am making assumptions.]
Of course then the problem would be - why spend four years, what, implementing the spell crafting system if only one class gets to use it. Does not seem like an appropriate "return on investment", even in non-monetary terms. And if they open it up to all classes then we are back to square one of how do you balance >100 new skills (de-facto, counting all the possible morphs and using the 2014 video as reference) accessible to everyone.0 -

Well, you can set it up so every single skill you use costs stamina/ultimate, but that requires tons of resource management.PC - NACP 1125

Not really my Stamblade has no magic costing skills on her bars and only uses soul harvest over incap because 10 ulti on kills in pve is too good to pass up. Has the best Stam management of my stam dps cause NB skills are the cheapest in the first place and leaching strikes is so good. My stamplar would also only have Stam costing skills but shards are too useful for the group to pass up.
