If a new class drops, which I'm hoping for, the name will probably be more unique to the ES series, "Battlemage" is to broad.
It'll be named something else.

It looks like that the new class will be Battlemage, my friend found this in the game files:
Why Battlemage? Because it has small number like the rest of the classes, and Summerset is quite a magical place you know.
"Battlemage" is a very common term in TES games.SydneyGrey wrote: »Here's another mention of battlemages that I found today in Cyrodiil.
I kind of hope Battlemage turns out to be a Nercomancer - I've wanted a class for a long time that revolves around dealing Oblivion Damage and summoning undead. Something more on the edge of evil.
Necromancer would be awesome because it would be another class for the Pet builds out there, it would be a way to introduce an Oblivion based class - and they could even use it to flesh out Disease damage more.
In terms of magic we need something that breaks up the Ice/Lightning/Fire trio. However I am also not opposed to a more traditional Battlemage IF and only IF it has offensive oriented Ice abilities.
Battlemage vs. Necromancer.
Someone should do a poll and see which one people hope to see as the Summerset chapters' new class. The lore is looking Necromancery, but the Battlemage theme was so high in demand when some of us (read: me) thought we were possibly getting one in Morrowind due to what we saw in the cinamatic trailer. Also, all that one hand + rune hype.
