I want the ability to hide any/all individual pieces of armor... while I love the 'Dark Shaman' outfit, I'd love to get rid of the shoulder armor. There are also other costumes/outfits that having a bare chest would look awesome, just imagine the combinations that players could come up with and the time they'd spend in-game actually doing so; I definitely think it would increase player activity and play-time.

Any thoughts on adding this option, @ZOS_GinaBruno , so that we can completely hide individual armor pieces? When I mean hide, I mean COMPLETELY HIDE, removing all armor, outfit, or costume piece down to bare skin.

This is about the Outfit System, they won't touch the Costumes.

Considering we can already HIDE HELMET on costumes, it shows that it IS possible.

Yes for shoulders. When comparing players towards the average NPC, barely any of them are using shoulder peaces either, and a lot of them seem way too big to fit the rest of the outfit at times, especially for light armor.

Other pieces are discutable. Don't really bother about gloves/belt/shoes, but don't necessarily have to see everyone running without pants/legs. At the other hand, just disquipping items will show your body anyways, but the current system lets not much people doing so because it weakens your character. This way undressed players are sort of dismotivated, which is fine for me personally.

Costumes aren't implemented like the armor pieces, or the new outfit system. They are basically 2 pieces, head and body. To make hideable costume's body pieces possible, they would have to revise the costume programming, for every costume. They are already giving us the Outfit System, that is separated by pieces. Here we're only asking to allow us to hide other pieces, something easier to be done in a system divides by body parts. Now that we spot on ESO Live (Dev Server) that the options to hide other parts in Outfits already exist, we just need to elaborate why making this option available in the Live server would be awesome, and not ask for something that will make them rework a system that already exists (Costumes) and works well.

Don't have to fully rework costumes, just add in that they also give you the add option as if it's a motiff. Would show up just like the Prisoner items currently on PTS. Also would like to see stolen clothes be available, just make certain to launder them first.

After seeing the Saviour's Hide picture, I'm starting to think that tassets (them hip flappy things) do have their place. Just maybe not so many of them? You don't need a separate hide option. There could be a level of each motif that doesn't have them. The High Elf comes close, in that the lower levels have lesser ones, however, if they all start with none ...

You could even return the boob windows, for those that miss them. Get more coverage as you move up the scale. Then those wanting to flaunt tattoos have more options, and the armor improvements make even more sense.

Yes, please! Sure, it'll potentially break immersion in Cyrodiil, but I think all the teabagging vampire argonians in nord bathing towels do that already, so there's really not much to be lost.
There is nothing lore-breaking about naked warriors in Tamriel, particularly when it comes to Nords. There's a sliding scale of dignity and propriety, at least in the mainland. ;)

I'd be ok with helmets (which is already there) and adding shoulders. But wouldn't care if they didn't add shoulders really, with the ability to mix and match now we can use pretty small almost hidden shoulders if need be.

I definitely don't want to see every part hide-able. No desire to see every genius running around naked that thinks they are funny.

Absolutely, yes! Options to hide any part just add to the versatility of the system and variety between characters. I play a lot of Khajiits and considering that they have fur and so many beautiful fur patterns, i'd like to see more of it.

I prefer a hide option for everything as the more freedom the better. But at least the shoulders if i could pick just one besides helmet. Belt and gloves would be nice too. The rest I don't really mind either way, but see no downside in having the option.

A simple solution to not wanting completely naked toons running around is to make the system allow you to hide any armor slot, but you can only hide 2 - 3 slots per outfit.

That way, you could hide the parts that you like least, but you’d still have to be wearing several other pieces.

I think at this point they won't be adding in any more requested features or even considering any other changes (like cost) for the outfit system. Which is quite unfortunate, since it was shown to exist on eso live. Zos is probably just playing it safe now since any final change to outfit system would go live with less or no pts testing. I hope they add it next content patch but even then that might be months away.

I'd suspect the issues around hide helmet have delayed it all. That is the odd one out, as it interacts with costumes as well as outfits, so they need to get it right before the others can use/copy the part of the code they need. I suspect copy, as if they were just using the same code, they'd come along for the ride.

Hope this comes some day. Most of my RP gear does not fill out most slots so for that use the system is not too practical. Can still save some inventory space though.
